I made this cake and followed the recipe except for using a bunt pan

sorry, this cake lacks flavor for me. not sure what to do to give it the little something extra, but i think i'll just let it be and try another bundt cake recipe. on the plus side, the cake was very moist, but again, had much less flavor than i anticipated. a bit "blah".

This is a wonderful cake! My husband asked me how many pieces he could have. That is a huge complement! My teenage son loved it as well. I'm am not a big fan of cakes but I love this one! I will definitely be making it again! Thank you for sharing!!

Very good, didn't make the frosting and it was still sweet enough for me.

This cake is amazing. My family loved it. I made the cake from scratch, as I did not have a box of cake mix...but other than that, followed the recipe as written, and it was delicious. Will definitely make again! Thanks for sharing.

This was really good! I used a butter cake mix, so I replaced the oil with butter. Other than that, made as instructed. Next time, I believe I'll forego the glaze...the cake was great without it...and a little too sweet with!!! Thanks!!

This doesn't taste anything like any honey bun we've ever had. It has a strange taste to it. Won't be making again-sorry:(

Nice and moist, very cinnamony. I took it to work and everyone wanted the recipe. I will probably make again because it is easy and quick.

We make this cake on a pretty regular basis. It's really easy and tasty. The only problem I have with it is the icing. It doesn't go well with the cake. I tried, as another person suggested, the clone of cinnabon icing. It didn't work either. We've been just skipping the icing. It tastes great that way too. This cake is a definate keeper.

I put a little too much batter on the bottom so I had to get creative with my swirling to mix it through the cake, and it didn't end up the prettiest thing... however, everyone who tried it said that it was like a cinnamon bun, "Only better"! I'll definitely make it again!

Made this for my daughter's birthday and my son said I was making it for his birthday - and he is NOT a cake lover. Made it as a bundt cake and it looked beautiful. Thanks!

Be prepared for this to be very, very sweet. If you decide to do the icing I would suggest to thinly drizzle it over the cake. I used a bundt cake pan and found that I had to bake it for an additional 20 minutes. The brown sugar, cinnamon filling layer tasted good but it did make that part of the cake slightly mushy. I wasn't expecting this to happen as I have made similar recipies without this result. If I make this again using the bundt style pan I will not use so much of this filling.

This was a huge hit. Enjoyed by all. I thought the frosting was way too sweet and would probably not even bother next time. The cake was very moist.

This was good and easy to make, but very sweet. A swarm of teenaged boys didn't mind and demolished it quickly. I subbed 1/2 of the oil with apple sauce and added some sliced almonds to the sugar mix. PS..sorry, didn't like the glaze. Thanks for sharing your recipe!!

First time making this and took to Thanksgiving gathering. It was a HUGE HIT! As others suggested, I used cinnabon frosting & baked in bundt pan. The aroma is incredible as it bakes. Make it & have a cup of coffee ready when it comes out of the oven. Thank you!

I made this cake for Thanksgiving, and everyone said it was better than the pecan pie! This cake was great, I havent' had a honey bun in awhile, but everyone said it tasted just like them! The cake was so moist and light. I baked it in a bundt pan for only 45 minutes, and it came out great. Any longer than that would have been overcooked. I only made half the icing, and it was a great amount. Three days later and this cake is still moist and yummy:) It's totally worth trying!

I thought that this cake was good, not great. It was too sweet- wish I had added less sugar! I didn't even bother w/ the icing b/c it was that sweet. I like a more traditional coffee cake, so I don't think that I'll make this again unless I'm in a rush.
