I can't imagine eating it for dessert, but it's absolutely perfect for breakfast or brunch. Just a sweet, cinnamony coffee cake, really. This is extremely easy to make, and I've probably made it about a half dozen times now. The recipe needs no 'fixing', it comes out perfect as is. Very highly reccomended...

This was perfect! I've been looking for a bundt recipe with yummy cinnamon in it for my hubby, and this is it! I also used a bundt pan & had to cook it for about 50-55 min. It came out moist & delicious. My kids loved it as well! Thanks!

I made this in a 9x13 pan and this couldn't have been simpler. It tasted better the next day, after melding a bit. I think next time I'll mix the cinnamon/sugar mixture in a bit more so it isn't so much like a struesel cake. This was very moist and everyone loved it.

This cake was so good. It's easy and the sour cream makes the cake so so moist. People will think you did so much work to create this yummy cake but you dont. If you like cinnamon and honey bun you'll love this cake. I did!!!

TIP: Make sure you mix BY HAND. I've made this several times and it always comes out great EXCEPT FOR THE TIME I was in a hurry, didn't read the directions and used a hand mixer. For some reason, it took an extra 20-30 minutes to bake and the texture just wasn't right. Not sure how the difference in mixing affects the finished product, but it really does! TRUST ME! So yummy and so easy. A great way to take a plain cake mix and make it extraordinary! My hubby said this was one of the best cakes he's ever had. We couldn't leave it alone. Delicious right from the oven or even better the next day -- the glaze has time to soak in and make this super moist. I followed the recipe exactly (used a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe mix because that's all I had). If you use a Bundt pan like I did make sure you grease the pan. Mine stuck and I had to piece it back together -- as a result it wasn't the best looking cake but it definitely didn't keep it from being gobbled up in record time! Some other reviewers suggested cutting the glaze in half for a Bundt cake. I used the full recipe and was glad I did. Yummy! I wish we hadn't demolished the whole thing...I could go for another piece right now.

This is an excellent recipe. The cake was delicious and moist. I used a bundt pan and put some of the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture on the top as well as in the middle. Also I substituted mayonnaise for the sour cream only because I didn't have any sour cream on hand. Will try the sour cream next time. In addition to this I used the cake recipe posted by CaleyCat instead of a store bought mix. It turned out lovely, was enjoyed by all. 5 stars and highly recommended!

A co-worker brings this cake to work all of the time but has been reluctant to share her recipe. That gave me the determination to find the recipe for myself. I made it for the first time today and i must say that it is very delicious. I made it exactly as the recipe stated with one variation. I added Jello Vanilla pudding to the mix just like I do when I'm making a regular cake. It makes it really moist. All in all this is definitely a cake that I will be making again and I would highly recommend it to others. I admit that it is REALLY sweet so be careful if you are a diabetic.

Seems like ever since my co-worker brought one of these to work for a birthday, we gals just can't make enough of them. I like to add pecans to the middle and "top" of this bundt pan style cake. Taking one to my OB-Gyn doc tomorrow as treat for her office staff (after three deliveries with multiple complications, those hard-working gals deserve a special thank you!) Thanks for this keeper recipe

I found this recipe quite delicious. however, the amount of vanilla the recipe called for in the icing was far to potent

I really thought this was going to be fantastic with all the positive reviews and was excited to make it. However, I thought it was way too sweet. Tasted like a yellow cake with an overload of cinnamon and sugar. Sorry, but I won't be making this one again.

Well after spending tons of time reading all of the reviews & deciding what changes to make to the recipe, I went to my cupboard to get the yellow cake mix and lo & behold if I didn't find a Betty Crocker Super Moist Cinnamin Swirl cake mix (there was a big sale and I stocked up a couple of months ago.) It is basically this very recipe --a yellow cake mix with a separate pouch containing brown sugar & cinnamin. So I just used that and followed some of the suggestions I found here in the recipe reviews. I baked it in a sprayed bundt pan, beginning with 1/3 of the sugar/cinnamin mixture (to which I added 1/2C of crushed walnuts, then half the batter, swirled in 1/3 sugar/cinnamin and repeated. Ater baking & cooling 10 minutes, I made a glaze of 1 cup powdered sugar, 1T milk and 2T strong coffee, and drizzled it on while still warm. (I didn't use all of it) Delicious!

This is one of the best recipes that I have ever tried that is based around a cake mix. I cannot show up at any family function (especially for the holidays) without having this cake in tow. A knock-out!
