I didn't have yellow cake in the pantry, so I used white cake mix. I made it in a bundt cake, 350 degrees for 42 minutes. I only made half the frosting per previous reviews, but I wish I would have made it all since it would have looked prettier with it dripping down the side. My guests loved it and I was asked for the recipe. Will definately make again.

I actually made this for my birthday, I am a sucker for a homemade cake! It was so moist. I love anything with cinnamon and this was perfect! I did not change a thing! Every woman at the party asked me for the recipe. Thank you for this amazing recipe!

This cake is so easy to make and gets rave reviews! It does taste just like a honey bun! I used a white cake mix b/c that's all I had in the pantry, and it was great. Very moist, just enough cinnamon and sugar. I cooked the cake in a bundt pan and cut the icing recipe in half and it was plenty. Received rave reviews! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Very easy. My husband thought it tasted like coffee cake. I served it with vanilla ice-cream.

I was going to a convention, so I needed a cake that would travel with me and didn't need to be on ice. We all drank coffee in our hotel rooms, and I wanted something different than donuts. When the cake cooled and was firm, I cut it up into two inch squares so it would be easy to grab one while drinking coffee. Everyone loved it. Very sweet, but with a hot cup of strong coffee it was a hit. I did add 1/8 teaspoon almond extract, 3/4 cup of finely chopped walnuts, and a little water to the powder sugar frosting. I've never told anyone the name of the cake, but people were telling me it tasted like a honey bun. A winner!

So yummy and easy. I used a french vanilla cake mix with pudding in the mix. I also made a mistake and didn't read the directions very well and added all the ingredients but it still turned out great.

This is a wonderful and easy cake. Very, very, sweet!! Goes great with a glass of milk or a bowl of vanilla icecream. The only thing I did different was I added 1/2 cup of fine chopped pecans to the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. It was great.

TIP: Make sure you mix BY HAND. I've made this several times and it always comes out great EXCEPT FOR THE TIME I was in a hurry, didn't read the directions and used a hand mixer. For some reason, it took an extra 20-30 minutes to bake and the texture just wasn't right. Not sure how the difference in mixing affects the finished product, but it really does! TRUST ME! So yummy and so easy. A great way to take a plain cake mix and make it extraordinary! My hubby said this was one of the best cakes he's ever had. We couldn't leave it alone. Delicious right from the oven or even better the next day -- the glaze has time to soak in and make this super moist. I followed the recipe exactly (used a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe mix because that's all I had). If you use a Bundt pan like I did make sure you grease the pan. Mine stuck and I had to piece it back together -- as a result it wasn't the best looking cake but it definitely didn't keep it from being gobbled up in record time! Some other reviewers suggested cutting the glaze in half for a Bundt cake. I used the full recipe and was glad I did. Yummy! I wish we hadn't demolished the whole thing...I could go for another piece right now.
