  1. Place chicken in large shallow dish. Add ketchup, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and vegetable oil, along with pepper, chili sauce, and salt. Cover the dish and let it stand for about 1 hour in the refrigerator. Prepare the grill, then grill to desired doneness.

This was absolutely delicious. I did not put he chicken on a grill. Heated the oven to 375 degrees. I marinated the chicken for about 45 minutes. Then I put the chicken pieces into an aluminum foil lined casserole form with all the marinade. I turned the chicken skin down for the first 20 minutes of baking. Then I took it out of the oven and turned the chicken over to skin side up and baked for another 15-20 minutes. Turned out really good! Moist and flavorful! Clean up was easy because of the foil. No mess, almost....

I thought this had great flavor! I always try a recipe exactly as written for the first time, unless I don't have the ingredients, and in this case I used orange juice instead of lemon, and tabasco instead of hot chili sauce (what IS hot chili sauce, btw?). Also my grill is outta fuel and my BRAND NEW broiler sucks so I had to crisp the skin on my Foreman. That was a buzz kill, but the flavor was yummmmm.

We liked it. Didn't use the peppercorns or chili sauce (did't have them and the kids don't like spice). Baked at 375. Baked for 20 minutes and turned them. Baked another 20 minutes. I wasn't sure whether they were done, so I added another 10 minutes. They were good but the drumsticks I got were very grizzley. Next time, I'll buy a better brand of drumsticks.

Great recipe!!! This chicken comes out so sticky and delicious! This is my second time using this recipe. Tonight instead of using drumsticks I used wings and they were awesome! I did change one thing to the recipe....I love spicy food so I added a 1/2 cup of siracha. They didnt come out super spicy like I thought but they had great flavor! After, making recipe I let the wings marinate all day. Then I preheated my gas grill 20 mins....and my oven. I grilled my wings for 10-15 mins on the grill; chicken skin side down first until it's crispy them turn them. Very important baste the chicken while grilling it. Have a cookie sheet ready to transfer wings onto. After the grilling the wings finish cooking them in oven at 400 degrees for 20 mins. I'm not a great cook but thanks to this recipe I looked like a AWESOME cook tonight to my guest who I invited over for dinner.

This was very good! I only had a 1/4 c. of honey, so I used that plus 1/4 c. molasses. That was a very happy accident. Also, I did not grill this but followed the previous reviewer's recommendation and baked at 375 degrees for a total or 40 mins. For the first 20 mins, I baked with skin-side down, and then I flipped the legs over for the last 20 mins.

This amount of marinade was enough for 10 drumsticks for me.

This was a very good simple recipe. Will def make it again as I used drumsticks & thighs.

I roasted these in the oven and they were awesome. Will definitely be pulling this recipe out for grilling once summer comes.
