Been using this recipe for a couple years and just never got around to rating. This is the best Turkey ever! I was never a Turkey fan before but this recipe rocks; it comes out perfectly golden and crisp outside and unbelievably moist & tender inside. Don't change a thing! Family & friends are always asking for this recipe; thanks for the great submission!

I usually cook my turkey's in a baking bag but wanted to try something different this time. I was curious how it would be with out the bag. I have never made a dry turkey. Until today. Sorry but I think I will stick with the bag.

I also rubbed the bird with butter, outside and cavity. Also put some of the broth mix in the cavity too! It was so juicy and tasty. It also smelled like heaven and when my hubby came home from work he said 'dinner smells great, when do we eat'! YUMMY!

Amazing flavor! I made the basting stuff and put it in a zip lock bag and froze to make a butter log and then sliced it into medallions. Then to make sure the meat was flavored I put the medallions under the turkey skin. Be sure to not only make pockets but to separate the skin a bit more so that the flavor doesnt just soak in one spot. You want it to spread to make a even an beautifully flavored turkey. Then, I had used some of the basting sauce i had saved to bast the turkey on top and then also a few times while baking. I had family and friends over, and everyone kept raving about how flavorful and juicy the turkey was! Wonderful! Thank you! :)

I have to give this a million stars! I was soo great. My sister-n-law made the turkey for Thanksgiving but I love to cook and I got a free turkey from the store so i decided to make my 1st turkey. It turned out amazing! My fiance loved it and begged my to bring it to his sisters. I did just for him and of course she got made because everybody loved mine and not her plain dry "roaster crock pot" turkey. My fiance was so proud and happy that his "new" wife could cook so well especially for her 1st turkey. This is a forever keeper.
