Wonderful! Thanks! I had a crowd of hungry for pancakes kids in my house and I was out of store bought syrup. This was easy, yummy and such a breakfast saver in my house! I will defently make this again!

i may have cooked this too long, but it was about 7 minutes and the syrup ended up hardening like crazy. the dishes that came into contact with the syrup are ruined and i had to throw them away. not to mention my teeth! i'm sure that it is a great recipe (from reading the reviews), but i had zero luck :(

This was awesome! I'm not buying pancake syrup anymore. Try adding a little rum! Mmmmm.

Fantastic syrup recipe! Only thing I did different was I used 1 tsp of vanilla, as I didn't have any maple. Yum!

This was wonderful!!! It has a great consistency like real maple syrup. I didn't have maple flavoring so I used hazelnut extract instead and my family loved it. I will certainly make this again and again!

I decided to use this recipe because I'd run out of store bought syrup. My expectations weren't high, but the syrup actually turned out really good. I did add about 1/4 teaspoon salt to balance out the sweet. My only recommendation is that if I make it again I'll use 1 cup of water instead of 3/4 cup. Once it cooled it was too thick.

This was so good - everyone loved it. I used CDT's recommendation and used the almond extract as well. I was so happy to realize the syrup thickens while cooling.

Perfect. Just what I needed. I used almond extract instead of maple, because that is what I had. It turned out great

Great recipe! I didn't have maple flavor, so I just used vanilla and it was still great. Hubby and 5 kids loved it!

This was sickeningly sweet! I made no changes to the original recipe. I would not make this again.

Excellent recipe. Ran out of store bought syrup and I had already made my pancakes. Decided to look for something simple I could whip up and came up with this. My family loved it! Definitely a keeper!
