I have already made this recipe about five times. It is the best! I made it for my son's kindergarten class and all the teachers and parents that were there said it was the best they'd ever had! My family also loves it!

This was good as long as the sauce and noodles were hot but as it began to cool the sauce got quite thick and paste-like.

I thought the consistancy came out great. It was nice and creamy, but we did not care for the flavor. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner and was a little disappointed. It did not give you that comfort food feeling.

I think the reason so many members thought this was bland was because it has way too much milk! I agree with the member named Sweetjam...this is enough cheese sauce for a pound of pasta! I also agree to add salt and pepper. I had a problem with clumping and I don't know why! I omitted the breadcrumbs and baking step. I added chopped green onions on top for more flavor. I think if I try this again, I would use 1/2 the milk and make it hot before adding it to the cheese mixture.

This was very bland tasting, gritty texture, even the kids didn't like it. You need to add at least another 8oz of mac to use all the sauce it makes. We won't be making this again.

I added cheddar, provolone, swiss and cottage cheese(like someone else said) and it came out better than ever. An than the next day I diced up some ham and leftover mac and cheese to make another meal. Good Luck!

Geeat Mac n Cheese for kids. Mild flavors and creamy sauce! I used italian breadcrumbs to add a little flavor and also used shells rather than macaroni (shells hold the sauce!) Make sure to FULLY melt the cheese in the cause before pouring it over. Finally, I used a tent on the last half of cooking as I thought it might singe the top. Overall, easy to make and tastes great!!

I loved this recipe and so did my family. I was drinking eggnog and brandy, so I got mixed up and also put in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 finely chopped green onions. ( I was looking at 2 recipes at one time.) I didn't use the bread crumbs. This was great. I am glad I messed up because it came out really good. Lol.

I made this tonight for my boy who just got his tonsils out. Here are a couple of things that I noticed with this recipe. First, you need a whole lb of pasta this makes a ton of sauce. Next you need to salt the water 2T for a lb of pasta. I used 3 cups of already shreaded cheese and 1 cup of fresh grated pram. I used 2T of flour in the rou, but I think 3T would have been better. I also used salt and pepper in the sauce. I omitted the bread crumbs on top. It only took 15 minutes in the oven not the 30. Thanks for sharing.

Best mac and cheese ever! I crisped up the bread crumbs in the pan with butter and increased it to 1 cup. They add the final touch to the dish, and my daughters who are picky eaters, thought that the bread crumbs were the best part! I highly recommend this recipe.

very good consistency and solid cheesy flavor. I found it a bit bland and may try adding some dry mustard and white pepper next time around.

I LOVED this recipe! I tend to be picky about my mac and cheese, and this one was awesome. It reminded me a lot of the macaroni and cheese served at a local steakhouse, McKendricks, that is my favorite. For the 3 cups milk, I used whole milk (I only use whole for cooking) to give it a richer taste. Also, I used 1 sleeve of ritz crackers and crumbled them for the top, to give it a little more crunch. My mother even borrowed the recipe for our Thanksgiving instead of her usual mac and cheese casserole! It was a big hit!

I made this tonight... The first time I made it over the weekend I used way too much macaroni and it turned out dry... The second time I made it it turned out good I thought it would taste more cheesy could have used some salt or spices... I'm still learning though... I wouldn't mind playing around with this recipe again...

Recipe was real easy to make. I like the idea of the roux & melted cheese being poured over the macaroni. I love cheese so I added more than the recipe calls for. I mixed mild & sharp cheddar, mozzarella & parmesan cheese. I also added garlic powder & grated black pepper.

I hate boxed mac and cheese but my husband and kids seem to love it. I want find a homemade mac and cheese that everyone would like. This was not it. It was not very cheesy (and I added an extra cup of cheddar) it was more creamy. I will not make this again.
