Tudor Recipe for Ginger Beer

Submitted by: SUEB34
This is a family recipe supposedly going back in a straight line at least to the Tudors (I'm English). Make your own authentic ginger beer using this age old method. Be sure to gather your equipment ahead of time, then be patient. This takes about 2 weeks to complete.

Ginger Lemonade

What a great twist on lemonade. Freeze some of this into ice cubes to use in the drinks, so it won't be diluted!

Homemade Root Beer

This Root beer is bound to be a hit at any gathering. It is very easy, ice cold and yummy. Use a large insulated drink cooler to brew it in, and everyone can help themselves using the spigot. This is best to do outdoors or place the cooler in the kitchen sink as it brews. Dry ice can be dangerous. Be sure to use gloves when handling. Do not allow children to handle the dry ice.

This is an easy recipe for homemade wine. You can choose whatever flavor you like but my favorite is the red. You will need a sterile milk jug, a large latex balloon and a rubber band to complete the project. This Wine is a bit stronger than regular table wine. Its great for cooking as well as drinking.

Brew your own beer with this extract recipe for an Irish Red Ale. This beer is fermented slowly for a rich flavor, so be patient!

This homemade limeade puts the 'pepper' in peppermint limeade. Sweet, but with a touch of jalapeno heat that surprises, it's ideal for hot summer days.
