With applesauce, this apple crisp offers twice the apple goodness of others. Applesauce, brown sugar and cinnamon are combined, and stirred into sliced apples. The mixture is then piled into a large baking dish and topped with sugar. The crisp is then baked in the oven for one hour.

There is no sugar added to this pie, so the sweetness that you taste comes from the natural goodness of the apples. Lemon juice and cinnamon are added for some zing along with a bit of butter just before the top crust is put on. It bakes up golden brown within 45 minutes.

Very fancy and delicious, this tart 's fillings are baked in puff pastry. Apples are sliced, piled onto a large round of pastry and covered with a sweet ground almond crumb mixture. After it 's baked and while still warm, a wonderful sherry sauce is poured over this lovely tart.

The trick to this pie is pre-cooking the apples with lots of sugar and cinnamon to sweeten and spice them up. The cooked apples are spooned into an unbaked pie shell, covered with a top crust and baked in the oven until golden brown.
