It was good but I felt like it was missing something. I gave it 4 stars still because it might have been my fault for taking the healthy suggestion of using turkey sausage. If I had used normal sausage it may have put more grease into the dish and thus more flavor.

It was very good, the kids (9-4) ate it up - we served it with a side of whole wheat pasta. I did double the recipe. I would add something to jazz it up a little next time.

I really enjoyed the ease of this. Hubby loved. Here's what I did. I used everything the recipe suggested except I used a bag of little smokies I had left over from the holidays. It was good...I added a few extras because it was not Italian sausage like some dried red pepper and Italian seasoning, no water chicken broth and garlic. Next time I will use spicy Italian sausage and as not a big fan of frozen green beans, if I have no fresh I will throw in some baked asparagus and some corn. I also had no potatoes so I cheated and used mashed potatoes. Finally I added a spoonful of Thick Worcestershire not to change the flavor but to add color and flavor to the juice for the mashed potatoes. This will go in the rotation.

My very picky family loved this! With all new recipes I try not to make too much so we aren't left with unwanted leftovers. Although I did double this recipe as it only serves two and we are a family of four, this was a BIG MISTAKE. Everyone LOVED it. I did add additional sausage and green beans even after doubling and still did not have enough. I also threw in some garlic for a little extra kick. Needlesstosay, this recipe is a keeper at our home. Next time, I will just make a whole lot more!! Thanks for a great one!

We really enjoyed this "casserole". The whole thing was devoured. I used ground Italian turkey, and sauteed the onions with garlic before adding to the dish. I also added yams because I didnt have enough potatoes. I omitted the green beans (personal preference). Next time I think I'll add chopped apple. Apples and sausage is YUM! We topped it with a dollop of sour cream to cut the spice of the sausage. It was a hit for all the tastebuds in the family.

This was a great recipe. Even the little ones in my family enjoyed it! I cut up the chicken into 1/2 inch pieces and also separated the onion pieces into separate chunks so they would cook through. The potatoes particularly had a wonderful fluffiness about them when you bit into them. Our sausage was deer sausage, and the spice along with the potatoes and beans was a nice balance. I also cut the casings off the sausage before I browned it. Thanks, Charla, for a tasty meal idea!
