The recipe didn't make as much as I expected. I will double it next time. I tried crushing the candy in my food processor; the processor broke. :( I tried making two layers as others suggested. It was OK. I think the next time I will just stick to the white chocolate. Mine did not turn out as pretty as the ones pictures, but it tasted fantastic. I do recommend putting it in the freezer to harden. Thanks for the great recipe. I will certainly make it again.

This is really good and so easy to make. If you follow the recipe as directed it will have plenty of peppermint flavor. I think adding peppermint extract as some reviewers mentioned would be too much. I used my food process to crush the peppermint candies, it gave me the perfect amount of peppermint dust and just enough chunks for the top. I'm not a huge peppermint fan but I will definitely be making this again.

So delicious and so easy ... this will definitely become a holiday staple in my recipe book. I got the white chocolate at Walmart for a good price. I made a batch with Nestle chocolate chips and another with white almond bark (which is half the price by weight at Walmart). The Nestle chocolate chips tasted slightly better but both were amazing. To crack the peppermint candy I put it in a plastic zip lock bag in the middle of a sheet of wax paper and hit it with the back of a wooden spoon.

very good. Made twice this Christmas and forgot the waxed paper yesterday. Now I need to melt it again, it would not let go from my cookie sheet and when it did it is shaving pieces.

Came out great! I also added a layer of dark chocolate to the bottom. I melted the dark chocolate, let it cool in the fridge, then put the white chocolate mixed with the candies on top. Yum! Easy and delicious!

This is an easy to make recipe. I used Hershey's white chocolate Chipits and 8 candy canes.
