Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
  • 2 cups cubed process cheese (Velveeta)
  • 5 (15 ounce) cans yellow hominy, drained
  • Paprika

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, seasoned salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted. Place hominy in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over hominy. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 10 minutes longer or until heated through.
