Cheryl, you are the Cranberry Queen! Here I sit, on the morning of our Thanksgiving here in Canada (October 12), and I'm in heaven! I wasn't sure about this recipe but was committed to diverting from the standard berries, water, sugar combination no matter the cost. I stayed with your recipe for the most part, though was shooting more for a cranberry apple sauce so used two Granny Smith apples and reduced the sugar by a modest 1/4 cup. Again, I wasn't sure about the idea of serving the chutney on crackers with cream cheese, but I had some cream cheese left over from making a cheese cake so decided to give it a try on regular Ritz crackers. Yes! Absolutely divine, no doubt about it. I used all the spice called for in the recipe, and with some tripidation I must say, but I've no regrets at all. The reviewer who insists that the spice is overpowering and that the use of cream cheese is a waste of time because the spice drowns the flavor? Balderdash! It's sublime. Highly recommended. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you Cheryl!

After reading some of the reviews, I had to try it for Thanksgiving dinner. It was served as an appetizer on cream cheese with crackers and as cranberry sauce with the turkey.DELICIOUS!

Festive, quick and easy. I've served it four times since I found this recipe on Thanksgiving. The fourth was y request! It's easy, quick and tasty and it's even better when fresh cranberries are in season.

This was a big hit at both T-giving & Xmas dinners. I reduced the sugar by a 1/4 cup - as when I originally made it, it was a tad sweet for me.

I have made this several times since first experimenting for Thanksgiving. I added some apple the first time and pear the next batch. Each time it turns out wonderfully. We are going to more holiday parties and I have been asked to bring the "cranberry stuff". It is wonderful on bagles, crackers, with fish or ham. Smells wonderful cooking and is so EASY. Thanks for the recipe.

The flavor was just wonderful. Even the children loved the flavor. What I did was spread some spreadable regular cream cheese over a cinnamon graham cracker and then dolloped the chutney on top of that. I could not keep any due to it being a hit!! Will definitly make this again and again!

Good Chutney. If you never had it before you must try it! I did add blueberries to the mix and 2 packs of unflavored gelatin & left out the cloves. This turned out wonderful!

This is really delicious and easy to make. I made this last year for a Thanksgiving appetizer and again this year. Last year I made this exactly as stated. I noticed it was a bit difficult to get the chutney on the cracker with the whole cranberries, so this year, I ran it only for a few seconds in the blender and it was still chunky, but easier to eat with cream cheese and a cracker. Everyone always loves this one no matter which way you make it!!
