INGREDIENTS
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
2 cups water
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups milk

DIRECTIONS
Place potatoes and water in a large saucepan; cook over medium heat until tender. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, saute onion butter until tender. Stir in the flour, salt, thyme, rosemary, and pepper. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add potatoes with cooking liquid; heat through.

YUMMY is all I have to say. I can't keep left overs for this one. I added 2 carrots chopped, oregano and garlic. This was a great and quick recipe to have.

Great, creamy potato soup. I added a clove of garlic and then sprinkled cheese on top right before serving. Flavor was great, and it was so simple.

This soup is delicious, creamy, flavorful and very easy to make. This was my first time making homemade potatoe soup. My husband and I really enjoyed it and it was very filling.

It was delicious! I cooked it for my family and they all loved it. But I had a problem when I couldn't find any flour so I just used corn starch and it still tasted as good.

This was delicious! I'd had a potato soup before that a friend made and have been searching for something similar ever since. Nice and simple, and very filling. I put some bacon in as well, and served with bread.

I made this recipe for my family for dinner and they loved it! I followed the advice of other reviewers and used oregano instead of rosemary. I served with mixed vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) and grilled steak. Delicious!

Very good recipe. I think I would give it 4 stars though, but I feel to bad to ruin the 5 star streak. I used chicken broth instead of water and omitted the salt. Also added a handful of parmesan and a pinch of red pepper. Had to thin with a little extra milk at the end. The next day I added butternut squash puree just because I had it. yum.
