These were just "okay" for me. They didn't cook up as fluffy as I would have liked, and they actually seemed to melt into the soup quite a bit before attaining a solid state. Fortunately I made them about double the suggested size, otherwise there wouldn't have been any dumpling left to taste. I don't think I will use this recipe again, but they did taste nice.

Don't need Bisquick anymore. These are very good. Just left out the Thyme and Oregano. I think I halved the salt too.

Really good dumplings. They puffed up nicely in my slow cooker and had just the right amount of herb flavour. Served them with Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings.

I followed this recipe to a "T" and the dumplings dissolved into the chicken and dumplings that I made for DH! I use the "stir, scoop, level" method of measuring my flour and the dough came out very wet. I checked a couple of other recipes I have for dumplings and they call for more flour. These dumplings made a nice thickener for the stew... and since I always make a big pot, I made ANOTHER batch of dumplings (my normal recipe) and added them to the leftovers the next night. Worked out just fine, so all was not lost. Just be sure that your dough is fairly thick, not wet... and, I usually use shortening, not butter, so the butter made have added to my problem with this recipe. Thanks anyway... the flavor was good and I didn't find it too salty.

Great recipe. Did not change a thing and these came out better than the way I was making them before. Great flavor.

Excellent dumplins. Used 1 Tbls of italian seasoning instead of the separate herbs. Came out light and fluffy. Only ones I make now.

I thought the flavor was fine, my only problem was I thought the dumplings were too fluffy. Those who love dumplings to fall apart in your mouth they are so light, would love them. I on the other hand like a dense dumpling, so I probably wont make them again using this recipe.

These dumplings were delicious but I only gave 4 stars because I did have to cut all the seasoning/salt in half. Thank you for the suggestion to do so because these would have been too overpowering otherwise. With the above modification this is a great recipe which my family and I will enjoy again in the future.

This is Ronna, the poster of this recipe. Everyone is right---it should NOT be a teaspoon of salt. 1/4 - 1/2, depending on your tastes, is plenty. Sorry for the Goof Up!

I liked the recipe as it was; I like salty foods and found with my stew it was a good mix :)

Excellent! Never made them before. Added them to big pot of ham bone soup with veg & green beans. I'll add them to chicken soup next time. Thanks much!

these were delicious! I put them with slow cooker chicken & dumplings from this site (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Cooker-Chicken-and-Dumplings/Detail.aspx) and they turned out great. I did follow the advice to just use 1/2tsp salt & they were very tasty!

These were very tasty - especially paired up with Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings, as I did). The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is that, following other's advice, I did significantly reduce the amount of seasonings. I halfed them but next time, might even go a bit less on them (except the salt - that seemed appropriate at just halfed). Overall though, I was amazingly impressed with this recipe - and myself, being the first time I've ever made homemade dumplings.

They were good - but WAY too salty (and I love salt). Cut the salt in half and they will be fine.

After reading the reviews,I left out the salt, cut the thyme and oregano to half a tsp and used a full tsp of parsley. These adjustments were just right for our tastes. I would make these again. Thanks.

My family could not eat these. I followed the recipe exactly, and used it in a tomatoe soup that had similar spices and nobody could eat them.

Not what I was expecting.. They did come out fluffy, but seemed a little too overseasoned. I'll cut back on herbs next time.
