This was pretty good...used an eye of round oven roast, so the cut wasn't as good as others and cooked about 10 degrees longer than should have (getting kids ready for bed!!), but regardless, really good flavour. Used a combo of beef broth and red wine instead of water. Quick and easy, let it sit marinading for about 6 hours before cooking. Thanks for sharing!

Good recipe! I did make the following changes: i made 6 slits into the roast and stufted one whole garlic clove into each slit. I used the seasoning mixture, adding some Italian seasoning (I think I doubled the amount) and rubbed the entire roast. I let this sit overnight to marinate. Before cooking I quartered 2 onions and mixed 1/4 cup beef broth and 1/4 cup red wine (omitting the water) and put everything (onions, broth mixture and meat) into a roasting pan. Baked until meat thermometer read rare and then let sit for 30 mins which resulted in perfectly roasted med rare roast. Flavor was very good, recipe easy to have ingredients on hand, will definately make again!

This was a great easy recipe. I sliced some onion rings to cook with it and cooked it in my crock pot on low for eight hours. The left over sauce is great thickened and used as gravy.
