Herb and Garlic Cheese Spread

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 teaspoon McCormick® Dill Weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Oregano Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Season-All® Seasoned Salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor or mixer. Mix until well blended. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to one week.

This is a quick and easy spread to throw together for a get together and everyone always loves it. I use whipped butter and it seems to come out a bit smoother. I have also tried different spices and it still comes out great. Sometimes I form the entire mixture into a ball and roll it in pecans. This makes an easy cheese ball.

I used this as a substitute for Boursin. It wasn't exactly the same but still quite good. I piped it over cucumber slices and topped it with finely diced red bell pepper.

So easy to make...and tastes great. I do tinker with the amounts to suit our own tastes....thanks for the post.
