Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh basil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Cut bread in half lengthwise; spread herb spread on cut sides. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
