  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix seasoning, hot water, butter and rice in 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Top with chicken.
  3. Pour baking sauce over chicken. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping.
  4. Bake 30 minutes or until chicken reaches 160 degrees F. Stir rice before serving.

  • Tip: To prepare in skillet: Use same ingredients as oven version, but mix seasoning, hot water, butter and rice in large skillet. Top with chicken. Pour baking sauce over chicken. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until chicken is done. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. or until rice is done. Stir rice before serving.
  • To prepare in microwave: Use same ingredients as oven version, but mix seasoning, hot water, butter and rice in 3-quart microwavable casserole. Top with chicken in a single layer. Pour baking sauce over chicken. Cover. Microwave on HIGH 20 to 22 minutes or until done. Let stand 5 minutes in microwave oven. Sprinkle chicken with crumb topping. Stir rice before serving.
  • Serve with a Caesar salad. For dessert serve your favorite Pepperidge Farm® Layer Cake.

This meal is ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!! It is my #1 all-time comfort food, but unfortunately Campbell's has decided to take it off the market...BIG MISTAKE in my opinion!! The one thing that I will say to do differently than the box directions is to cook the dish for about an hour as opposed to 30 minutes. This makes the chicken perfect and ensures that the rice is well-cooked and tender rather than runny. At any rate, THIS IS AN AWESOME MEAL AND I PRAY CAMPBELL'S COMES TO THEIR SENSES AND BRINGS IT BACK!!! I found 8 boxes at Big Lots on closeout, and am counting down the sad days til they're gone....
