This is a super easy, super tasty dish. Even my mom (somewhat picky) loves it! The oregano gives it a different taste, much better than the recipe on "that box"

This was a very popular dinner in my house last night! The only change I made was using a can of drained, diced Italian style tomatoes mixed into the ground beef/onion mixture instead of using a fresh sliced tomato. I also added a little crumbled bacon on top, with the cheese, to make it Bacon CheeseBurger Pie. People wanted seconds and so I'm adding this one to my recipe collection.

This was pretty much everything I thought it was going to be - OK...I subbed ground turkey for the beef and after sampling the mixture before baking it, I decided to add more garlic, some worcestershire sauce, A1 sauce, ketchup and mustard. I also threw in a can of Rotel spicy tomatoes as opposed to using the fresh, and I cooked them with the meat. The final product was good, and I would make it again for the ease of prep....thanks!

This was tasty and easy to make. I used regular bisquick as I couldn't find buttermilk, and it was fine. I think I'll also add Worcestershire sauce next time.

This was very easy to make, and turned out very well. Unfortunately my son and husband don't like tomatoes, so I used ketchup instead for the burger-like flavor. I also added a bit of Worcestershire sauce as well. For the topping, I think I added too much milk accidentally, but I managed to balance it out and it still turned out very well. I think I'm going to use the suggestion someone else posted and try adding bacon next time! I will definitely be making this again!! Thanks for posting!

Great - but i did change some things. instead of tomato slices, i mixed a can of italian diced tomatoes and added some ketchup (probably 1/4 cup) to the meat/onion mixture. the boy loved it (as did i), and next time i might add some heat in the form of red pepper flakes or Frank's Red Hot. Thanks a lot for the post!

My mom used to make this when I was little, and I loved it. I omitted the tomatoes, but did sneak in a small julienned zucchini to get more veggies in my husband's diet.

My family loved this, but I did make some changes to the recipe. I used a can of tomatoes/chiles as suggested by another cook, and added some hot sauce and chili powder to the meat mixture. I also added 1/2 can of corn to the meat. For the topping, I used a box of Jiffy corn muffin mix, prepared according to the directions on the box, and added the other 1/2 can of corn to this. I sprinkled some extra cheese on top, and baked. The sweetness of the cornbread topping really complemented the slightly spicy meat, and my whole family loved it. It was a winner!

This was okay...I jazzed the meat mixture up by adding a few splashes of hot sauce and a few shakes of creole seasoning, seasoning salt and extra garlic salt. I had some leftover canned corn which I also added on top of the meat mixture. I put in the recommended amount of oregano which seemed like too much - a half teaspoon would probably have been better.

This was delicious. I made some alterations though. I omitted the tomato, oregano and garlic and used garlic powder, after the hamburger was cooked and drained, I added a can of tomato soup. I also baked the bottom of a pie shell in the oven for 10 minutes, then added the hamburger mixture, ect.... This was delicious...served it with potatoe pancakes and some veggies...Hubby loved it!

Very good recipe. The biscuit topping seemed a little bit too thick, I will probably only use 3/4 of a from-scratch batch. Other than that, quite nice.

This was interesting...Like a cross between a quiche and a meatloaf. Put some ketchup on it and it's wonderful. I will make it again. Followed the recipe to a T except I used buttermilk pancake mix. I doubt it's much different, though.
