Our whole family enjoyed this recipe immensely. The first time I cooked it, I didn't have the green onions or the sausage. Still, it was so good, we couldn't wait to make it again.

Absolutely fantastic!!! I added 1/4 tsp of Cumin and used 1 lb of smoked turkey sausage. I will definitely make this again.

Now that was VERY good! I followed the recipe, but also some of the reviews and used low sodium chicken stock verses water and added a red pepper and used brown rice to make it healthier. It's a keeper, thanks

Great! Not quite spicy enough, but that's easy enough to fix. I added chicken broth in place of the water, didn't use sausage, added a bell pepper (1/3 each of red, yellow and orange), used fresh herbs because they were in the garden, and brown rice. Instead of fork mashing some of the bean mixture, I pureed it using an immersion blender. It made only 4 generous portions though.

Great, just needed a little kick, which I added in the form of spicy sausage, cajun seasoning, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Also added 1 chopped red pepper. Will make again.

I made this is my crock pot. I used a really good quality sausage but still found it to be bland for my liking. Maybe some added cajun seasonings would help.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. I added some additional spice, but not much. I also used Bush's red beans. Thanks for the recipe.

Awesome!! This recipe was easy, nutritious and delicious. I added broccoli instead of carrots because I ran out, but it still tasted good. Sweet and sour - just the way I like it. =D

I wish I hadn't halved the recipe, but I only had 1 can of beans! While I prefer cooking fresh beans, this was a great alternative that saved me lots of time. Great choice for those who want red beans but can't spend the time to make them fresh.

This was great. Of course, I spiced it up to our liking. I added in cajun season, bay season, some bay leaves, and some cumin. I also used two cans of ranch style beans that I rinsed well.
