Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (1 pound) package smoked sausage, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. In a skillet, cook beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. In a slow cooker, combine the remaining ingredients. Stir in beef mixture. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until heated through.

This was most delish! I will lessen the sugar down next time though. It was almost too sweet... MORE
