This recipe was an excellent starting point for a great dish! Everyone in my house loved it! I made a few minor changes to fit our tastes. I used shredded cheddar cheese in place of the processed cheese food for the cheese topping and added some in the sauce as well (~1/4 cup, didn't really measure). I also added paprika and garlic pepper to the sauce. One roommate is vegetarian, so I altered the recipe for him by cutting the recipe in half, omitted the ham, and added ~1 cup frozen mixed veggies and ~1 cup frozen green beans. For the meaty version, I added ~2 1/3 cups of ham and ~2 1/3 cups of cubed potatoes, and used 2 cups frozen mixed veggies instead of corn. I made the same cheese variation as mentioned above.
Overall, a great recipe. Perfect place to start to prepare a dish that fits your house's tastes!
