Indeed a hearty casserole and an easy to put one together also! Only changes I made were subbing dried parsley and using a cheddar cheese topping. We enjoyed it! And ~ Diane, this is HAM! It doesn't need salt. And, if you think it really needs it, don't you have a salt shaker!? It didn't deserve a 3 star from you.

Easy recipe that even my husband could do! :) I like garlic on just about anything, so I added sauteed garlic to the sauce. We used peas & carrots instead of the corn. The kids LOVED it! Will definitely keep on my staples list.

It was ok. I think it could've used salt.

This tastes really good but there is WAY too much sauce. I think next time, I'm using more veggies and ham, and less sauce. I also used peas instead of corn. Very tasty. Just needs a little tweaking.

I made this recipe to specification, except used dried parsley ( a few shakes). Everyone in my fam LOVED it, including the picky 2 year old. What's not to like?? It's like a shepherds pie, only w/ ham. We will have this in our regiular rotation. Sidenote: i didn't use a bowl for the first 4 ingredients, I just loaded them into the casserole dish...one less to wash!

This was good. I doubled the recipe and put in a 9 X 13 pan. I did not double the corn....the one can was MORE than enough for our taste. I stirred 1/2 of the cheese into the white sauce, and sprinkled the other half over the last 10-15 minutes of baking. Thanks for the recipe : )

I loved this and it was so easy to make. I didn't change a thing except I didn't have any parsley on hand. Good fall meal!!

We loved this recipe. We used red potatoes and left the skin on, and added green peppers to to liven the dish up. My children loved this dish. I did double it and gave one to my sister, whose very picky husband gobbled it up.

This recipe is perfect for the picky eater. I substituted the onion for onion powder and my all to picky husband and son loved it! Thank you for something different!

Made this yesterday but couldn't eat it till today. Just as I'd put in the oven, our power went off. It didn't come back on in time for me to bake it properly. Then tonight my oven didn't want to work so I microwaved it instead. This is really delicious, a definite keeper. The only change I made was to add a dash of dry mustard...oh and I microwaved the potatoes instead of boiling them. I used leftover honey spiral-sliced ham that I had in the freezer. This is easy to make and results are fantastic!

Hearty is right. This went over well with both my toddlers and my husband. It was like a dense corn or potato chowder, though pretty mild in flavor. Perhaps a smoked cheese or french onions would be a satisfying addition. I'll use this recipe again as a base and make personal preference tweaks.
