This made a nice fruity compote. We had it served over cream-cheese stuffed chicken breasts, but I think it would be even better with pork. The subtle cinnamon flavor complements the crunchy apples, and the citrus fruit really brightens up the compote. I't has just a little bit of sweetness, so I think it also would be tasty on a slice of pound or angel food cake. I did not have any walnuts, but other than that, followed the recipe to the letter and wouldnt change a thing.
