My family enjoyed this recipe very much. I made a few modifications: I added 3 garlic cloves, minced; subbed in dried cranberries for the raisins; I only put in 4 tbsp. of soy sauce, but then added 2 tbsp of fish sauce;I reduced the apple cider vinegar to 1/4 cup and put in 1/4 cup cooking sherry; and I used broccoli instead of peppers (I want to try the peppers, I just was out when I made this dish).
Next time I make it I will reduce the amount of brown sugar. It was a touch too sweet, and with the pineapple juice and fruit, a reduction of sugar would be nice I think.
It's a great dish to make ahead of time.
