This did the trick for quick and easy, but it wasn't very rich even with 2% milk.

Very good, I like the idea of making my own pudding rather than using the box mix with all those other additives. I did detect a slight corn-starchy taste, but not overpowering. Also, I must admit I forgot to add the vanilla at the end, so maybe that would have smoothed out the flavor a bit. I had a little trouble getting rid of the lumps in my cocoa and cornstarch, so might consider running it thru the sifter first. Will continue to play with this recipe.

With some tweaking, this will be a great recipe. My first observations are: too thick (I'll use 2 T. of cornstarch next time) and not quite sweet enough. Other than that, good recipe.

This is very good, but next time I wont use sugar substitute trying to save calories, cause it left an after taste in my opinion, I didnt like it, but the consistency and ease is great, so just cause I changed it I still think it could be great with sugar.

Awesome recipe! I live in England where 'pudding' describes the whole of desserts and not just a creamy custard. I miss the delightfully creamy Jel-O chocolate pudding that I grew up with in the States and this recipe recreates that recipe extactly!!! Now I can make my favourite dessert from scratch! I've made this often for my husband and I and on days when I want to whip up an extra fast dessert. Excellent recipe!! I did have to adjust the time on my mircowave and keep an eye on the pudding basin as it cooked. I have a 950 Watt microwave. but all in all it made me a mighty fine pudding!

I agree with other reviewers that this pudding is just as good if not better than boxed, but I will make a few changes next time I make this recipe. I plan on adding a few tablespoons more of sugar and only microwaving it for one minute after the initial three minutes. It was a little too thick once chilled.

This is really tasty, super chocolately and so fast and easy. It does taste a bit corn starchy, though, and maybe a little bit of butter might help it. It is a pretty diet-friendly choco-fix too, especially if you substitute Splenda for the sugar, which makes no difference in the taste in my opinion! You can do a LOT of different with this recipe.

This is delicious! My kids helped me make it, and we stirred in a big spoonful of peanut butter (maybe 1/4 cup)in the end. Boy, that really made it good! We also enjoyed in warm because we couldn't wait for it to cool down. I used skim milk and it still came out thick and smooth.

This is so good. I doubled the recipe so I added two Tbs of butter like recommended and I added cinnamon. My husband and kids loved it. So much better than instant.

although it was good it had that 'quick cooked' microwave taste to it. Over the stovetop is always more flavourful even if it might take 5 more min, it is well worth it. So i would opt to stovetop and not microwave this.

Any time you can pull together a fantastic dessert from things you really do have in your pantry, it's a 5 star!! Nothing extraordinary here, but it beats Jell-O by a mile, and satisfies a chocolate craving.

Excellent. If you are a fan of rich chocolate in desserts like those found in better restaurants, I suggest adding some bittersweet chocolate (I used 1/2 ounce which = 1 square of Ghirardelli)Added it to liquid ingredients prior to thickening. Oh, my! Pudding served warm with this addition is beyond words.

Worked really well with 1% milk! Tastes more chocolaty than boxed and I don't think it needs the butter, but a pinch of salt and cinnamon didn't hurt.

Pretty rich on the chocolate. I'd like it sweeter. Was surprised to see the pudding set up via microwave. It was so runny/liquidy after the first 2 1-minutes stirring rotations. But the 3rd minute is when it got thick for me. Cool! I only rate 3 *'s because the taste wasn't sweet enough.
