This was the perfect desert I was looking for, chocolate pudding. Easy recipe and few ingredients. My only mistake was to not look after the bowl inside the microwave after the 3min heating. I WAS mixing every 1min, but after the 3rd minute (total 6mins in the microwave), it exploded. I scooped up most of it and everything was fine afterwards. I was wondering if I should leave the butter out, but I decided to follow the crowd and add a tablespoon maybe a bit less into the bowl and it came out more creamy and soft. The end was just perfect for me, I just wished that I made more while I had the ingredients out so I won't have to take them out again real soon. My sister personally thought it wasn't sweet enough, but I thought the sweetness was perfect. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!! Definite 5 Star.

I had no idea homemade chocolate pudding could be so quick & easy, and I had all the ingredients on hand! The texture was just perfect, so smooth & creamy. Mine took 6 minutes to thicken in my micro. The only mistake I made was to add more cocoa that the recipe called for (a little less than 1/2 cup), and my husband & I both thought it was a little too overpowering. Next time I will use exactly the amount the recipe says. Will definitely make again!

I used unsweetened soy milk and it turned out great. Nothing fancy, just quick and EASY, using stuff I always have on hand.

This was very good, but not quite as luxurious as I'd hoped. A similar recipe in one of my cookbooks adds 2 eggs and says they can be omitted but recommends increasing the cornstarch to 5 tbsp. I don't have a microwave where I'm staying so had to do it stovetop and that definitely was not a "hasty" way to do it. I will play with the recipe -- maybe try adding an egg next time, and a touch more cocoa for a really rich flavor -- and when I get it perfect will serve for guests with fresh raspberries on top for a very elegant dessert.

Fast and easy - better than a mix. I would have liked it a little bit sweeter though. Can't beat it if you are looking for a chocolate fix in a hurry.

Quick, easy and satisfying! Only complaint is the chill time - I could not stay away from this long enough to let it chill properly (although, warm chocolate pudding is delicious, I must say!) I added a tbsp or so of butter at the end, as I usually use the Hershey's recipe and that calls for butter. Gives it a rich flavor.

This pudding tasted awful! It was very bitter and it was also very thin. I don't think I will make it again.

This is so easy and delicious I have to give it 5 stars. I have made this many times, both by microwave and by stovetop and here is what I found. Microwave is the way to go overall. Its great because 1. You don't have to keep an eye on it, so if you're expecting company or are just busy doing other things, its fool proof against burning. 2. No constant stirring and 3. Better overall look and texture. The stovetop's main problem for me was that even on low heat, its on the stove so much that by the time I'm ready to serve, its hardly a serving because a lot of it evaporated. Oh, and don't try anything above low to speed up the process...it will burn! The only thing stovetop does for you is give you more of a feeling that you actually cooked something, but since the microwave is better for every other reason, I'll stick to the microwave only from now on. Company doesn't have to know it was so simple!

Great recipe! I did add 1 tbsp of butter at then end. It turned out great for how fast and easy it was. My husband is a chef and he said, "wow, that's not bad". Next time I think I'll use a little more cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavour.

I have only made this once and loved it! Next time I will decrease the vanilla to 1 tsp as I found it too strong. I didn't bother with the saran before cooling since I didn't want to put plastic on a hot surface (it actually says so on the plastic wrap box) We don't mind the chocolate film that forms anyways.

I love this recipe. I never buy chocolate pudding box mix anymore. I just make sure to have cornstarch and cocoa powder on hand. The only thing I do different is add a little less cocoa powder otherwise I think it is a little too rich. But that's my preference. Great recipe though, super easy and super yummy!

I'm giving this 5 stars because my husband, who is not a big dessert person, asks me to make this at least a couple of times a week. Adding a Tbsp of butter at the end makes a big difference in taste. Super easy!!!
