I really enjoyed this dish. I used the rice cooker. First, I heated the chicken broth and added my rinsed dried portabella. I didn't let it sit in there very long b/c it was going to cook for an hour in the rice cooker (I followed the cooking time on the package). I also took care to caramelize the onions well b/c this really brought out the sweetness of the onions so that I could decrease the brown sugar to just a sprinkle. I also followed another reviewer's suggestion and soaked the cranberries (which I decreased to half a cup....I think 3/4c would have been a better proportion) in white wine, but I actually heated it up in the microwave to decrease the rehydration time. Skipped the orange zest. This was a very good recipe, which I will save to make again later.
