This sauce has an excellent taste and the consistency was perfect for over my bread pudding. I followed the recipe exactly other than using just slightly more vanilla by accidental pour. The only thing I would note is that you need to be careful to bring this to a boil over probably low to medium heat. Mine came to a boil too fast and left me with a serious burn on my hand from a large bubble splattering upward. It took only a minute or two for it to thicken rather than the 15 stated (probably because I had it too hot). In all, a great sauce, just be careful with the hot sugar! Thank you for this recipe! It's a keeper.
