Hanukkah Brisket

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 pounds flat cut beef brisket*
  • 1 (28 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix

Directions

  1. Place beef in a greased roasting pan. Combine tomatoes and soup mix; pour over beef. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 2-1/2 to 3 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F and meat is tender.

Footnotes

  • This is a fresh beef brisket, not corned beef. The meat comes from the first cut of the brisket.
