I have an unusual "problem" - my husband will eat anything (except Lasagna - go figure), which isn't exactly a testament to my cooking skills. He rarely comments on anything I cook, however after 2 bites of this, he actually said "this is really GOOD". I'll be making this again!!

Turned out great. No leftovers. Only change was that I omitted the sherry.

This probably doesn't need any additional accolades but we love this recipe. It is one of our favorite meals. I suggest doubling the gravy, however, if you are having this with mashed potatoes. The straight recipe amount was never enought for us.

I doubled the sauce using 4TBS flour, 3C beef broth (made from bouillon) and left out the sherry. Also, I didn’t have onion powder, so I just minced some of the onion that I was using for the gravy and threw that in the meat mixture. I made 4 large oval shaped patties, and served this with the corn and mashed potatoes. Hubby said, “Tasty as tasty can be!” We'll be having this again. And soon!

Instant family favorite!!!! My picky eaters both cleaned their plates. I followed the other reviews and doubled the gravy and it was perfect for mashed potatoes. I also used crackers instead of bread crumbs.

Excellent recipe! This was made for my husbands birthday party and he really loved this recipe (and he doesn't often gush about recipes!). Everyone else really loved it, too. The only thing I did different was to add 8oz. sliced mushrooms when you add the onions.--Very yummy!

We loved it! I followed the recipe just adding one packet of lipton onion mushroom mix to the meat(and another pound of hamburger). Oh yes, more gravy is a must!

I really liked this, if you like onions you can't go wrong with this recipe. I served this over rice. I wish I could have this all of the time, but my husband pulled faces since he's an anti-onionite.

I was surprised at how tasty this turned out. Not the prettiest meal on the plate, but really good, & the sherry gave it a little sweet flavor which was very nice. I added 1T of butter to the onions before adding the flour and I added about 1C of cooked peas at the end w/the beef, & served over rice.

EXCELLENT! I will definately make these again. I used the premade hamburgers from Wal-Mart meat section (fresh not frozen) and then just sprinkled the garlic salt, onion powder, and pepper on them, also drizzled on the worchestershire sauce. I did double the gravy and it was great, served with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Quick and easy also!

I didn't have any sherry for this recipe, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything not having it in there. Very yummy! I also added a whole can of beef broth and used ground turkey instead of beef and it was very good.

Delicious! Everyone loved it. I made only two changed. I used crushed saltine crackers in place of the bread crumbs and I used A1 instead of worcestershire. I will definetly make this again.

This was just ok for me. The gravy definitely needs doubled as others have expressed, and it was a little on the bland side for my family. We will try the method again though and pump up the spice.

A very good meal. It was something different that my husband and I actually enjoyed. I didn't use onions because we aren't big fans, but it tasted fine without them. the meat was very tender and the gravy was excellent. The dog even enjoyed the leftovers.

This was very yummy. I definitely agree with the other reviews... make extra gravy. I added some fresh sliced mushrooms with the onions, sauteed it a bit to soften before adding the patties. I did what many others did & served it with mashed potatoes. There was this slightly strange taste I can't quite figure out. I think next time I'm going to try using seasoned bread crumbs for extra flavor. It's comfort food!

Excellent! I doubled the sauce using 4TBS flour, 3C beef broth (made from bouillon) and left out the sherry. Such a simple and quick meal with a lot of taste. Will be added to my regular cooking rotation. Served with the classic sides of green beans and homemade mashed potatoes.

This was tasty. not this best meal ever but an easy comfort food. I made onion roasted new potatoes to go with it. I think it would be better over mashed potatoes, will double the gravy next time.
