These were really tasty and easy to make. I wish I had read the reviews first and had doubled the sauce though, because it definitely needs more sauce!

I followed this recipe exactly and it was so delicious. This is definitely a keeper!!! After reading the reviews, which a majority were not too helpful, even though they gave it 4 stars, because something was substituted or taken out or they changed it in some way or another and then most stated that it didn't come out very well. I learned from my mother-in-law, that if you change a recipe simply because you don't have the right ingredient, you are not making her recipe the way she wrote it as intended. This recipe is definitely highly recommended!!! I hope you guys that changed it and didn't like it, try it again, Anne Marie's way, I think you will love it!

Pretty easy to make and quite tasty. Unfortunately, similar to others, I did not have sherry so made it without. Followed the recipe except added more beef broth as the gravy was too thick with only 1 cup and used regular salt since I did not have seasoned salt. Other than that, it was very good and I would make it again.

I thought these had good flavor and were easy to make, my husband thought they were good, but a bit salty. I didn't realize I was out of sherry so I changed the gravy and used a can of cream of mushroom soup and some water instead and that was good. I let the gravy cook with the meat for about 15 minutes on low to just get the flavors blended. I think the saltiness my husband tasted came from that soup. Next time I would go strictly by the recipe or use low sodium soup. Otherwise, a good fast recipe for those days when you're just looking for comfort food. Served with mashed potatoes and corn.

Great recipe! I didn't have sherry but it tasted great without it. Other than that, I didn't change anything about the recipe. Some things I did to help make it easier was to just take an onion and cut it into thin slices using a mandolin and threw them on the skillet with some olive oil while I formed the steak servings. Served this with some baked potatoes and it was wonderful. Bon appetite!

I didn't have the cooking sherry so it was left out. Recipe was great without it. My husband loved it. I did double the gravy for mashed potatoes. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.

Awesome! I added an egg to the mix and formed into patties stuffed with tiny bits of onion, cooked ham, and shredded cheese. Stuffed hamburger steaks and some Mac & cheese on the side, my kids had to race their father to fight for seconds, lol.

This was AWESOME!!! My son and I LOVED it, and we are both very picky. My husband thought it was a little bland, but what does he know. I did use turckey instead of hamburger because of health reasons. I also used chopped onion in the patties because I did not have onion powder.

This is a favorite in our house. We like to add chopped jalepeno slices to our patties and we leave the kids plain. Both are delicious!

yummmm soo good! i used butter instead of oil, about 2 tbsp. made 6 burgers. I made the beef broth with a beef boullion cube and hot water. I also mixed the flour with cold milk (about 1/2 cup) and added it after I added the broth. really REALLY GOOD!

My entire family enjoyed this dish. The meat was flavorful and tender and the gravy was also good. I usually make 4 patties out of a pound of meat but I found the 8 smaller patties to cook quicker, they were more tender and it was easier for us to control our portions.

This was GREAT! I couldn't get over how easy and flavorful this recipe was. I also didn't have any sherry and was fine. I might double the gravy next time just to have more to put over the mashed potatos. I will most definitely be making this again!!
