Very good! My husband and I both liked it a lot. I did not have sherry, so I used white wine. I doubled the gravy as others recommended & it was plenty for mashed potatoes too!

This was great! Cheap, easy, and I had all the ingredients in the pantry. Served this with Roasted Garlic Cauliflower and Oven Roasted Red Potatoes (both Allrecipes), and doubled gravy per reviewer suggestions. Would it be politically incorrect to call this dish a Man Pleaser? I liked it, sure, but hubbie, brother and dad were drooooling: meat, potatoes, onions, gravy, what's not to like?!?

Fantastic recipe. For the season salt, I use a spicy variety, and it gives a nice, subtle kick. So good!

This was very good. I doubled the gravy per other reviewers suggestions. Next time I make this I might triple it instead.

I think this is an excellent alternative to hamburgers or rather, just something new to do with ground beef! I loved it. Per other reviewers I substituted 1 tablespoon cooking sherry with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. The first time I made this I did not double the gravy and there ended up just not being enough. I also didn't serve it over anything. Second time I doubled the gravy (it may seem like a lot of flour but trust me you need all of it!), and served it over rice and it was heavenly! The extra gravy tasted wonderful with the rice. Adding this to my book! Thanks.

this was great! i cooked it for the first time and it was delicious! i did not use the sherry in the recipe, and i did like others said and doubled the gravy recipe, and trust me, you should because it's amazing and personally i don't think it would have been enough gravy for the steaks and the rice had i not doubled the gravy recipe. the steaks were tender juicy and flavorful! the only thing i would recommend is adding a little more seasoning to the gravy mix (to your taste; i'm from the south and we really like our foods seasoned well so i added extra) but this definitely is a keeper!! thanks!

Very good recipe... I didn't have any sherry, so I used pineapple juice instead... I also did not have any onions, so I sprinkled the steaks with french fried onions after they were done cooking... awesome!!! Even my extremely picky daughter ate it! I will be making these again!

Was expecting something better than what we got. Followed recipe exactly. First of all, not near enough of the gravy, would double or even triple. Served over noodles and didn't have enough gravy. Noodles were very dry because of that. Secondly, flavor was very bland, not sure what to add, but for all of the ingredients and the work was quite dissappointed in this recipe.

This was pretty good. I didn't bother with the gravy (no beef broth) and added fresh garlic and onion to the patties as suggested by another reviewer. Was a hit with out family of four, thanks. :)

Sounded so promising... But, the husband pegged it: "It's just tiny hockey puck sized meatloaves with a sauce over it." We ate 'em, but only because there was some uber-fabulous cake that we couldn't eat until dinner was finished (house rule). Sauce had a weird after taste, couldn't quite put my finger on what that was from. (Maybe store brand broth?)

Comfort food at its best! My husband and I both love this dish. The burgers are tasty and juicy; the gravy is fabulous with rice. Prep time was a bit longer for me, but worth every minute. Can't recommend this dish enough. Thank you so much!
