First of all, there surely must be a misprint about how much water to add. With that said, though, I liked the flavor of this soup. I added only 6 cups of water. (This will also certainly change the number of servings) I used crushed tomatoes instead of diced, added some carrots left over from last night's dinner just because I didn't want to throw them out, and omitted the salt altogether. A very tasty soup using very basic staples usually found in my pantry.

This was pretty good. I did make a couple of changes. I omitted the salt, onion soup mix is salty enough for me and I used stewed tomatoes because that was what I had. I also used 6 cups of water and 3/4 cup of white rice. Nice change from the usual hamburger recipes.

Another #1 hit with my family, but I didn't put as much water as asked, I just added 5-6 cups, was just enough

I used this recipe as a base for a hamburger rice skillet dinner. It has a very good taste. We all enjoyed it. I will try again as a soup.

This must be a misprint...1 lb. of ground beef and 14 cups (almost a gallon of water)??? This would have to be the thinnest soup ever...
