I used 1 lb. Hamburger and 1lb sausage to give it a bit more flavor. Sprinkled a mixture of Monterey Jack and Cheddar Cheese on top. Turned out perfectly!

Might need to do something different...everyone said it was good, but not to really make it again! LOL I'm thinking this is going to go in the lineup, but maybe like twice a year. Sorry....but thank you for posting.

It was pretty much what you'd expect. I followed the recipe, except that I subbed Quorn crumbles for the beef. It tasted simple but good on a cold night. I would not serve it to other people, though, and I doubt that I'd make it again.

An okay recipe. My family ate it without complaint, so that is always a positive thing when I try a "new" recipe. I didn't change the recipe ingredients, but I did brown the onions with the ground beef. I read other reviews about the potatoes not cooking within the bake time. I didn't have that problem, but I used Yukon Golds as my potato which I think tends to bake more easily.

It's in the oven cooking as I type. There isn't a more versatile Casserole I've found. You can add whatever you want to this! I doubled the sauce(another can soup with 3/4c milk). I'm huge on seasoning hamburger as it cooks anyway so it wasn't much of a hassle for myself...I added Green Pepper, Fresh Diced Garlic, Tenderizer -unseasoned of course, Hamburger Seasoning by McCormicks...LOVE THAT STUFF, 1 large onion diced. To the soup mixtured I added 1 can drained G.Beans & 1 can drained diced chilis. Found that mixing the hamburger in with soup mixture is much more effective and distributed better. Just tasting that mixture was yummy. Can't wait to see how it all comes together for the final product.

I served this with a dollop of sour cream on top. I also used half sweet potatoes and half Russet potatoes. It was very good, very easy to make, and inexpensive. I think I will probably make it again. I think that you could also add some different kinds of root vegetables to make it more nutritious, and it would probably still taste good. Yummy comfort food. :)

This definitely needs some seasoning. I used quite a bit of garlic and onion powders along with adding some beef bouillion granules to the burger while cooking. The add-ins are virtually endless and it's a relatively simple meal. Definitely season it up, though!

This was 5 star with some modifications suggested by others. Needed some seasoning. Here are the changes: 1. Brown meat with onion and garlic. 2. Add minced garlic and beef broth concentrate to the liquid. If you don't have the concentrate, just use some powdered gravy mix, or something similar to jazz up. 3. I used beefy mushroom soup. 4. Here is the biggest tip: Microwave the potatoes (thinly cut) for 8 minutes on high before putting into casserole. This will lessen your cooking time considerably. Mine was done in 1 hr 10 minutes. Cook first 55 minutes with foil on, last 15 uncovered. Awesome comfort food.

Tasty. This casserole can be tweaked every which way depending on what you like or have on hand. Different kinds of potato, different cheeses, and any veggie.Add whatever seasoning you wish as it does need more seasoning. Good starter recipe.

I thought this was a great recipe that you can do many things with. I subsituted cream of chicken for the mushroom since my family does care for them. I did add minced garlic to the hamburger and a few other spices to the soup mix. I added a layer of frozen greenbeans. I did follow a few other reviewers tips and microwaved the sliced potatoes to save cooking time and covered until the last 10 minutes of baking. I will be making this again; it's a low cost meal that my family enjoyed!

I usually read the reviews before I try a new recipe, but, I was in a hurry to find something quick to make. It is an easy recipe to make, but, it was definitely bland. I didn't really give it much thought until we started eating it! If I made this again I would add lots of garlic and maybe steak sauce in with the meat.
