My family really loved this recipe. The maple gravy was great and it was actually very easy to make. I am saving this for my Easter ham recipe from now on.

I made this ham for Christmas - totally forgot to review it! It was the most DELICIOUS ham i ever ate.... I never made ham before, super easy, ham comes out super moist and tasteful, i dashed the ham every 10-15 Min with the sauce ! I wont try another ham recipe - as that was soooo delicious. I do it again, as soon i have family over :-D

This is a fine and easy way to cook a pre-cooked ham to make it more flavourful and special. Be sure to use good quality real maple syrup as it is so much a part of the flavour. Like many other reviewers, I didn't do the apples but enjoyed the gravy on its own.

This is the recipe I make almost all the time now, the ham is delicious! My family and friends ask me to cook this. Delicious, juicy, wonderfully presentable covered in the cooked apples, it smells good, looks good, and tastes great! Thanks for a great recipe!

Delicious and so aromatic! Your kitchen will smell fantastic. Definitely do not skimp on the apple juice and sub. with water. I did that once - a bit more bland ham & gravy. The apple juice is an important part of the lovely blend of smoky, tangy, mapley flavors. I have not cooked the apples - not a cooked apple fan, but the ham and gravy are a HUGE HIT in my house. I am not allowed to cook ham any other way. We love ham gravy so much that I add more apple juice and some water to the pan while baking so I have more liquid for gravy.

Yum, Yum, Sue Ward!!! The syrup was a nice change from brown sugar as it was lighter and delish! The gravy was great. The timing was right on. I'm not a big fan of baked apples so I didn't make that, but instead served au gratin potatos from this site and steamed french green beans with toasted slivered almonds. It was a gray day today so wanted a nice comforting meal and this was the one!!! Honey is a huge ham lover and will be more than happy to have this made as his dinner often! Thanks for the post!

This was pretty good. The ham was delicious...I didn't have enough apple juice though, so used 1c water. I don't think it turned out quite as good as it could have. My gravy didn't work out at all.
