Good hearty rainy-day meal! I doubled the cornmeal topping and put the extra in a seaparate pan - just to have extra cornbread around. I also added Cajun seasoning to the cornmeal mix as well.

This was excellent and easy. I didn't have the creamed corn, so I added regular corn to the beans and ham... it turned out well, though I'm looking forward to trying it again the right way.

Very yummy! It got rave reviews from both my husband and two year old son (who said "tis ish nummy mommy"). I made it with gluten free flour and it really hides that "different" taste that flour has. Will certainly make again!

This was great! I usually only try recipes that many people have tried and rated highly, but this fit my cupboard and sounded foolproof. It was! I halved it (only two of us), and ended up using pinto beans with jalapenos (didn't realize until too late that they weren't plain) so I rinsed them and then left out the hot sauce to balance it out. The ham used was the "Tangy Honey Glazed Ham" from this site, and the combination of the spices and the sweet ham was perfect. This is a keeper!

This makes a great dinner! I liked that it was spicy, and I added a little extra hot sauce too. I think next time I will add a little bit of liquid smoke, I tried some on my serving after it was baked, and it complemented the ham well. Yae for Ohio recipes!
