I'm eating one of these as I write this review -- 5 stars for ease and 4+ for flavor. I added more cheese (about a cup) and more ham (about a cup finely chopped w/pampered chef chopper)and added about 1 heaping tbsp sour cream in addition to the milk. I also brushed very lighly w/melted butter after they came out, but felt the biscuit mix adds enough fat that I didn't want to add more. They were not dry, but very tasty. Chopping the ham up very fine helps distribute the meat and helps with moisture. The nice thing about these savory little biscuits is how versatile they are. My kids suggested more ham next time, or using crumbled bacon and even chopped pepperoni and different kinds of cheese. Make them extra easy by using a cookie scoop and placing on a pan lined with non-stick foil. Mine were just right at 9 mins. I plan to make another batch to freeze for quick bkfsts or kids' snacks, as others have suggested. Good recipe!

I just made these tonight to use up some ham & I am so glad I did. My husband thought they were excellent & has already asked for them again. As others suggested, I added some onion & garlic powder; cut in 1 Tbls. of cold butter & brushed with butter after they came out of the oven. They were light & fluffy with wonderful ham & cheese flavor. If you like biscuits you must try.

These were great! I added 1/4 cup melted butter to the mix. I also added onion powder and garlic powder. These were not dry at all! Mine came out soft and moist on the inside. They were so flavorful with only a small amount of ingredients. GREAT to use up that Easter ham! Thanks.

Delicious! I added onion powder and fresh chives, and used more cheese than the recipe called required. I added a little more milk to make the batter come together and brushed with melted butter when they came out of the oven. Yum!

I rated this recipe with 5 stars, even though I changed the recipe a little, as others did. I added a full cup of cheese, a full cup of milk, and 2 spoonfuls of butter when I mixed it. As soon as they came out of the oven, I sprinkled each with garlic salt. They were fabulous. They were not dry at all! I ate 2 myself, and put the rest in the freezer. I hope they are just as good in the morning!

I read the reviews listing these as too dry, so I made a couple of changes when I prepared them for my family's dinner. I used 3/4 cup of sour cream instead of milk, and then added 1/4 cup of milk to really juice things up. I also added a pinch of garlic powder for extra kick. These go wonderfully with a country breakfast or dinner!

Id give this 10 stars if I could. It's perfect. I brushed with melted butter before going into the oven, and just after they came out. Great way to use up some of that leftover ham! Tastes amazing.

I made these today and they were great! I took advice from other reviewers and added some butter to the batter and brushed melted butter on top when finished. I also added some pepper and dill to the batter. They were so yummy I ate three right out of the oven! Will definitely make again.

Excellent!! I made a couple of small changes. Added alittle more milk, some garlic powder and salt and pepper. While they were still hot I took a basting brush and brushed the hot bisquits with melted butter. They turned out awesome. I had one batch without butter and one with. The ones with went extremely fast and everyone liked those better.

Thought I'd do a sample batch before making these for Christmas and added tid bits of butter I grinded up w/ some of the mix. It helped take away some of the dryness.
