Very good and very easy to make! It had a light taste, and if I hadn't made it myself, I wouldn't have known there was mayo in there. I also love that it makes use of ingredients that I usually readily have in hand. This is definitely going to my regular rotation of dishes :)

*****COMPANY WORTHY***** This was absolutely fantastic! The only ingredient I added to the cream sauce was the juice of one lemon. My husband grilled this over indirect heat for 17 minutes and the fish was perfectly cooked. The layer of onions and butter really complimented the halibut and cream sauce well. Mmmm Mmmm Good!

Forgot the butter but didn't miss it. Added fresh chives because I had it. Baked 400 degrees for about 25 minutes including briefly under the broiler to crisp bread crumbs. Keep thinking about what other recipes could be enhanced with this cream sauce. 4 year old and 2 year old enjoyed it too!

This is great find for me since I've been looking for new ways to prepare my favorite fish! I didn't grill but baked it in the oven still wrapped in the foil. I cooked it at 350 for about 25 mins then I opened the foil and broiled it for about 2.5 minutes until it browned. I also added garlic powder and lemon to the fish before adding a light layer of seasoned bread crumbs, followed by the parmesan cheese, and finally a light layer of panko (japanese bread crumbs), which gave it some extra crunch. A very tasty dish that I will make again.

Very good. Since it's too cold for the grill we used the oven as suggested by others. Worked out okay but next time we will just use a baking dish overed with foil for 25 minutes and then under the broiler for ten. We didn't have shreeded cheese so we used grated. Grated cheese about disappeared so use the shreeded.

My family really liked this recipe. I also baked it about 40 min. at 400. The fish stays nice and moist. The sauce it was cooked in seemed to be plenty - we didn't use any of the reserved. In hopes of reducing the fat, I also used olive oil instead of butter with the onions under the fish, which worked great.

This was very very good! If you bake it make sure you cook it at 400 for about 25-30 min. I cooked mine about 20 min and it wasnt quite done. I put it back in and cooked it for 10 more minutes at is was really good. I also folded the foil back and broiled it for a few minutes. I will keep this recipe!!! Thanks

Being from ketchikan, Alaska myself and eating a lot of fish we all seem to know which recipes are good and which ones just don't work out with fish and I have to tell you that this particular recipe is excellent. This fish can go with just about anything and makes your mouth water with every bite.

I am so glad I found this recipe. I'd almost given up on fish cooked at home--this halibut recipe was delicious, quick, and easy. My husband agreed. I didn't cook it on the grill; rather, I very loosely wrapped it in foil and baked it for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees. Then I rolled back the foil and popped it under the broiler just long enough to crisp up the cheese/crumb topping. I dried bread in the oven as it preheated for the crumbs, and my crumbs were coarsely chopped, so became beautifully crispy, a perfect contrast to the moist fish. This recipe is definitely a keeper, would be a good method for any mild fish, I would think. It was wonderful with the halibut---and I even forgot to serve the reserved creamy sauce!

I cut the sauce, the breadcrumbs and cheese in half for this one, which worked out well, because the fish still had lots of flavor without being overpowering. It was cold out the night I made these, so I wrapped everything in foil and placed them on a baking sheet and broiled the fish on high for 15 minutes. It was delicious and flaky.

I followed the recipe pretty much exactly and found this recipe extremely difficult to make, I was hurrying though so that probably did it. I will try it again, but for the first time I wasn't that impressed especially spending a lot of money on the Halibut.
