Unless you're serving this as a main dish (does anyone do that??) this serves more than 4 people--closer to 8 I'd say. It was a little too lime-y for us, but I can get a lot of juice out of 1 lime. I used red onion b/c we prefer that flavor in raw onions and b/c it makes the dish even more colorful! With those small changes this will be my go-to guac. recipe.

Very disappointed after reading how great this was supposed to be. We followed the recipe and felt it had way to much lime and no real flavor other than that. Will not make again.

This recipe is great because you don't have to follow it exactly. It turns out great no matter what. We loved it.

excellent recipe...only suggestion is to use a seeded jalapeno pepper instead of the cayenne pepper. It gives added flavor. You can always add the cayenne if you need more heat when finished. Thanks for sharing

This recipe was a good start. I think my additions made it really delicious. I used half of the onion because I find that it overpoweres the other flavors. I added a finely chopped seeded jalapeno pepper instead of the cayenne pepper. I also seeded the tomatoes before chopping. That way the guacamole doesn't get too soupy. I used Lawry's seasoned salt instead of regualr salt. Mix all ingredients except for avocado. (If the avo is ripe enough you don't need to chop it - just scoup it out.) Then add ripe/soft avocado last and keep stirring and mashing until desired consistency. I have tried chopping the ingredients in the food processor a few times but it never tastes as good as chopping everything by hand. I don't know why. Yummy!

Very yummy. I was in a hurry so I just used some fresh pico de gallo that had tomato onion and cilantro instead of preparing everything separately. It was a big hit!

This was easy and delicious and was a big hit with guests! I didn't have time to let it chill for an hour, but I don't think it mattered. It was gone in a matter of minutes.

I've made this recipe the past few years and it always gets rave reviews. I have it memorized and wouldn't change a thing. Must use fresh limes.

I never cared for the guacamole from restuarants but I just came back from Mexico, where I had the best Guacamole EVER. This receipe reminded me of the Guacamole from Mexico!

Not that this recipe needs another review but I have made it so many times now, it seemed only right to rate it. Everyone I have made this for loves it too! I love the proportions as they are, though I sometimes add a bit more garlic. My son loves this guacamole without the cilantro - he`s not a fan so if you aren`t either you can omit it and still have great guacamole. Personally I think the cilantro adds excellent flavor. Don`t be afraid to use a little cayenne if you`re not sure; that`s what I did the first time and it added just a little kick. No other guacamole recipes that I`ve tried are as good as this one. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!!

I've tried a lot of guacamole recipes and this is my favorite. The only addition I have made is cumin, but even without it this guacamole is great.

This is a fantastic recipe. I like to saute the onions a bit, and add a few serrano peppers rather than the cayenne pepper though.
