This marinade was good. I didn't have any ginger so I left it out.

This was a yummy marinade, and is best if you let the meat sit in the marinade overnight in the fridge. Be sure not to overcook the meat though!

Great marinade! My family loves it; however, I had to cut down on the soy sauce because we use an authentic one from Asian supermarkets (which is much saltier than the Americanized Kikkoman one). I had to cut the measurement of soy sauce to almost half as well as the olive oil to compensate. Also, instead of ground ginger, I grated fresh ginger into the marinade, and this made such a big difference in flavor. Still good, nonetheless. It's great with ribs, too!

The first time I used this marinade was on London Broil. I marinaded overnight and it was tasty but the London Broil was not tender. The second time I marinaded Flank Steak overnight and oh what a difference. The Flank Steak was not only tasty, but sooo tender. Will be using again and might try Skirt Steak for a change.

I used this recipe on a piece of Sirloin tip cut into kabob size chunks, marinaded it for approximately 6 hours. Absolutely delicious after skewered with my veggies and grilled. This is definitely a keeper! Only thing is next time I will save a little of the marinade (save before mixing with the beef) for basting. I had to resort to another recipe, soysauce, brown sugar, all spice and water to keep everything moist. DELICIOUS! Thanks for a great recipe, we LOVE to make kabobs!

I loved the overall flavor of this recipe. The only thing I changed was to use low sodium soy sauce. Other than that followed recipe exactly. The recipe calls for the flank steak to be marinated for, "at least 6 hours". I marinated for about 11 hours. Next time I will only marinade it for about 6 hours as while the flavor was wonderful it was a little strong. Also, I had never tried flank steak before and it is pretty good. I will definitely buy flank steak again and use this marinade.

Delicious! Everyone loved this one, even my 3 yr old had seconds. My only change was adding about 1 teaspoon dried rosemary and I left it in the fridge for 2 days, wow. For a 1.5 lb flank steak I grilled for 5 min each side for a nice medium rare. The edge pieces were done a little more for the kids.

This is EXCELLENT. Used to marinate a couple of flat iron steaks. Incredible flavor, and we only had time to marinate for about 4 hours. Highly recommend!

Yummy, but as others noted, pretty salty. I'm looking forward to trying this again w/low sodium soy sauce and maybe a little extra brown sugar.

Used this for a London Broil which we marinated for about 30 hours. Halved the olive oil and the ginger, and used low sodium soy sauce. Perfect! Thank you.

Wow!!! this was wonderful (a little salty, but that is fine with me). we used a flat iron steak and it turned out sooooo tender and moist. i made it per the recipe (which I like to do the first time), but I think i will add a little red wine next time to cut the saltiness, but it is wonderful as-is.
