This is a great comfort food that is quick, easy, and very flavorful. The combination of flavors is unique and my family found it delicious.

While I completely changed this recipe to suit my own tastes, I couldn't have done it without the advice from other reviewers and the original recipe itself. Great base to start from.

Paired with cornbread and a green salad, this chili was a quick easy meal for a week night. I found the 2 cans on Hominy a bit overwhelming. Now when I make this I put in one can of hominy and one of black beans (both rinsed). I've also been adding a touch of Chipotle and a little Ancho to add a little more richness to the flavor. Great as written, easy to make your own riff. Highly recommend

This has become a staple in our pantry and freezer. My children LOVE IT!! It's fast and simple. I like to add hot sauce to my husbands and mine with some chips.

Great meal and a family favorite. I would suggest only using the chili powder and cumin; skip the mustard, thyme, cinnamon, and allspice. I opt to add a splash of red wine vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar instead. Delicious!

I didn't have hominy but it was delicious, quick and easy to make. I served it with mozz cheese in a wrap.

Okay, I used fresh tomatoes from our garden instead of the canned.

Very good. Heavy on spices. Rotele tomatoes.
