It was a great all inclusive meal, but it did lack something, like others have reported. Next time I will try a spiced up variation. I also cooked the biscuits before adding them to the top of the dish as one other has suggested.

This is a really good, really easy dinner. I use the crescent roll rounds on top instead of regular biscuits and it adds oh so much buttery deliciousness! Not as good reheated though, so its best to eat it in one sitting.

My home-from-college son really liked this, but I did do a couple of things different. I omitted the salt in favor of some Worcestershire, and I added garlic powder and basil with the oregano. I used no-salt-added tomato sauce. I kept the celery and peas, but used crescent rolls instead of biscuits. It turned out really great, but I reserve 5 stars for really special. This was a terrific weeknight dish, though!

Not too bad for a really quick/cheap meal. I added the green chilies and also some minced garlic. This fed us fr several meals and if you use lean ground beef, low-fat biscuits and don't go crazy with the cheese it can be fine calorie-wise. Will make this again!

Great when you have some extra ground beef around. I have made this a couple of times. I didn't use the celery, or the peas. I did add a can of diced green chilies, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. I also used a can of crescent rolls because I didn't have any biscuits. I actually liked the tast better.

I had everything except onion, celery and tomato sauce, so I used a can of Del monte sloppy joe since it has onion and small mild peppers. All my kids and my hubby loved it!! It is a for sure a keeper.Wow, I think im going to serve myself again.

Pretty good! Yummy, definatly gonna start eating this! I made a few changes. Instead of just ground beef, I used ground turkey mixed in, instead of peas I used a mixture of canned green beans and corn. I omitted the celery and put a few more spices in. I also used torn pieces of sliced 3 cheese, since I didn't have any shredded around. And I puting in a few sundried tomatoes and garlic. I also had to turn the biscuits over and "broil" them because they weren't done on the bottom.

This was a very good recipe with some changes. I used 2# ground beef, added basil, garlic, worchestshire sauce, more oregano, and a little more flour (since I had more beef). I only had one can of tomato sauce so I pureed a can of diced tomatos for the second can of tomato sauce ( again I had extra beef which worked well). I think it ended up baking for a total of 30 minutes my darn biscuits would not brown on top. :) My picky eater hubby turned his nose up at first when he seen it but after he tried it he made sure I wrote the recipe down. He said that this was something he wanted to eat again. Since I had to tweak it I gave it 4 stars.

This was a very quick and easy recipe to make. My son and I do not like peas so I omitted those, but served them on the side for my husband who said the peas made it taste much better. I did season the ground beef with some hot peppers and garlic. Everyone loved this and I will make it again.

I think it was to salty. Did not like with tomato sauce, I think I will try with petite diced tomatoes next time. Used croissants on top(baked for 5 mins.before),they were good. Added worcestshire sauce and kethcup and garlic, I will skip those next time.

Pretty good! I didn't have refrigerator biscuits, so I made my own. I also added the extra worchestershire and chili powder as noted in another review. I also forgot to top with cheese, my kids added it at the table.

This was pretty good. Biscuits came out perfect without having to pre-bake them as others suggested. I didn't have any sauce so I subbed a can of diced tomatoes. Other than that, everything was prepared as written. A nice easy meal.

Super Quick and Super Tasty! There is some concern about the uncooked biscuits on the bottom, my suggestion is to use biscuits that are not jumbo sized and make sure they are BROWNED on top before removing from oven. We used the jumbo size and cooked a little longer, some doughy-ness but it didn't bother us a bit! We loved this recipe and will use again and again. Like I said before EASY & TASTY!

Everyone in my family enjoyed this recipe, even my picky eater. With four out of five kids liking it, it is a keeper! I use a 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes, frozen corn instead of peas, an added kidney beans. Since we like lots of seasoning I added garlic, used tad of basil instead of the oregano, a few cayenne flakes, and seasoning salt. Like one of the other reviewers I baked my biscuits just a bit before putting them on top. Nice recipe that can be used in a variety of ways. Next time I think I will double it for my large family so we can have more for leftovers.

I took the advice of others and seasoned the meat to our liking(Goya Adobo and Sazon). Made homemade biscuits, used green beans instead of peas and shredded Cabot Hunters cheese on the top. The meal was tasty and definately a kid pleaser. The meal was bland. Needed salt for flavor.

Well, I hate to be the downer on this one, but this just didn't work for me. The taste was so-so, but my biggest issue was with the biscuits. Against my better judgement to prebake the biscuits for a few minutes, I followed the recipe and wound up with uncooked dough. All the biscuits were completely uncooked on the bottom half. Talk about a gooey mess! If I made this again I would bake the biscuits on a baking sheet for about 5 minutes while the beef mixture simmered, then place on top of the casserole and probably add a few more seasonings to the beef. I really do wonder why this turned out so bad for me, none of the other reviews mentioned it. Oh well, thanks anyway!!!
