This is a simple recipe that depends on you to make it excellent. Cook the beef with onion and garlic and add a little worcestershire sauce as well. Then add some corn and maybe some olives if you like. Add a can of diced tomatoes, a can of green chiles, and some chili powder. And don't skimp on the cheese! It comes out tasting like a southwestern quiche. But the recipe is simple enough you could adapt it to any style of cooking. Have fun with it.

This is too bland. It needs something else like tomatoes or something. My family did not like it. Probably won't make it again.

Good, easy, cheap meal. Added some spices for some flavor, though.

I am going to give this a 3 stars because the recipe as it is is terribly bland even after I seasoned the heck out of it with Cavanders Greek Seasoning. Now having said this I begin to think of all different kinds of ways to improve this recipe. I thought of a pot pie type idea minus the gravy but add carrots, corn, and peas. I haven't tried this one yet but it seems like a good idea. I also thought of an Italian version but I am still working out the recipe on that one. The one recipe I came up with was a Mexican one. Keep everything the same in the orginal recipe but add a little more cheese, a can of black beans, a can of sweet corn, and a can of mexican stewed tomatos.

Great recipe, but needed some jazzing up. I added 1 med chopped onion, and 2 cloves of crushed garlic to the ground beef, and browned the beeef. I increased the salt and pepper. Added one can of Rotel tomatoes with green chilles, 1 cup of frozen yellow corn and topped the meat mixture with sharp cheddar cheese. It is a keeper according to my husband

We enjoyed this with a few modifications taken from other reviewers. Here are the changes I made. I browned the ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I added corn when the ground beef was done. I served this with salsa on the side which really made it work. Next time I might add the salsa before I cook it. It's not the most amazing recipe but I did enjoy it.

I thought it was ok, my family thought it was bland. I will use more seasoning next time.

This recipe needed a lot of help in order to be to our taste. It was too plain as is but with some adjustments was great. I added onion, green pepper, tomato and a lot of seasoning. The basic idea is very good but for adults it is just too bland.

I cannot believe anyone thought this recipe might be good. I looked at it and thought it might be bland so I added some garlic, salt, pepper to he ground beef while cooking it and then added ground mustard to the egg mixture and it still was completely blah and dull. I do not normally give reviews unless I really like something but based on how bad this was, I didn't want other people to be "fooled" into making it like I was; completely disappointing and a waste of time.

This is really good! I was looking for a new idea for ground beef and this was a hit with my kids! I did change it up a bit by using seasoned salt, sharp cheddar, added onion and threw in some frozen corn and peas. It was moist and the crusty top layer was very yummy. Give it a try!

This recipe has possibilites, but as written it is pretty dull with very little flavor. It definitely needs veggies and more spices, which is pretty easy to do.

I cooked the meat with a small onion and then pureed a can of diced tomatoes (with olive oil and garlic) and added it to the cooked meat . Very flavorful and moist. My husband loved it.

Tried this recipe the first time--a little to bland for my "crew". This time after I put the beef on the bottom of my baking dish, I drained a can of diced tomatoes and rinsed them and put them over the beef. Then added onion, chives, garlic powder, & pepper. Then added the cheddar then the baking mixture on top. I added parsley to the top as well as another dose of salt and pepper and parmesan cheese before baking! Still no green vegi's but I am warming up to the idea! Love this recipe!

We didn't care to much for this one. I liked the quiche like consisity but the meat was very bland. I would have to make severalk changes to it before I had it again. Maybe put some ground sausage in with the beef to spice it up. Sorry.
