I used two packs of ramen and only one spice pack. Frozen mixed vegtables instead of canned corn and a large 24oz can of stewed tomatoes. My family looked at it and turned up their noses, IT is NOT pretty. But they tasted it and asked for seconds. That rates as a hit at our table. Quick and simple rates as a hit with me the cook.

Not bad at all! Doesn't look the most appetizing while in the pan, but once put in a bowl looks tasty and 'homey'. I doubled everything except for the corn (I didn't have another can), and used Thai 'ramen' noodles called WaiWai. Used both the seasoning and spice packets but omitted the oil mixture. Also used a 28 ox. can of whole peeled tomatoes that I cut myself in place of the diced the recipe called for. I'll definitely make this again, probably seeing what else would be good in it, but it's definitely okay as it is!

Awesome recipe! Really easy to make and cheap to boot! All the ingredients are things I usually have on hand (what college student doesn't have ramen?) and it's ready in minutes - can't beat that! I cut all the ingredients in half since I wanted to make just a little for my boyfriend and I for lunch, but I still used a full pack of beef ramen noodles and seasoning (ran out of oriental) and I didn't add the tomatoes because I didn't have it in my pantry like I thought I did :( But instead I added a small chopped onion (fried in a separate pan), and I thought it really added something to the recipe :) I also added about a 1/2 cup of water when adding the seasoning because it didn't seem like I would have enough juices to boiling the noodles in, and covered the pan while simmering. All in all, very good recipe, thanks for posting it! :D

Wow, this recipe is shocking how it tastes much better than it sounds! One thing I was impressed with was that it tasted even better as leftovers (I usually hate leftovers), I guess the flavor had more time to soak in. I did add garlic and onion to the beef, but other than that, I made it just as written. This is a great recipe that I'll have to remember next time kids are over or I need a quick meal! Thanks for this recipe!

I was really unhappy with this one. One of the worst dishes I've made in a while. My husband did not like the smell and it did not look good either.

Great recipe to make in a pinch. I had all the ingredients on hand in the pantry. I doubled the noodles like most did. I cooked the noodles in advance but only till it broke apart. It continues to cook when you combine it with the meat mixture. It looked like alot when I was done but it was just the right amount.

OMG!! this dish was fabulous! I took the advice of others and doctored it up a bit. I added fresh garlic, onions, red bell pepper, crushed red pepper, dice tomatos with green chilies and instead of the seasoning from the romen noodle pack I added fajita seasoning...lol...I know it was alot of doctoring but my food must have flavor and this dish definitely had it when I was done! I will make this again!!

This was just ok. I gave it 3 stars because it is easy, inexpensive, and fairly flavorful. It just didn't "WOW" me or my husband. Sorry!

Quick, cheap and easy one pan meal. Great for those nights that you need sometihing quick & filling. DH liked more than the rest of us. I added black beans and some chili powder, which I would do again.

Not the most elaborate, or fancy meal, but very easy and very tasty. I added a can of green chilies, and used my own spices, instead of the ramen noodle packets, which contain MSG. I also added just a little sugar to smooth the flavor - make it richer. LOVED IT!

ok, my family ate the entire dish in minutes!!!!! it only took max. 10 minutes to make and they ate it all in less time!!! no joke , this may not be the healthiest but for a quick meal with a big family and lots going on this rocked the house! trying to think of ideas to add to make it a bit healthier like : a scoop of crushed flax, puree veggie like carrot or cauliflower etc.. garlic but this was tremendously great! thanks

Quick, easy and it used up some ground beef and ramen noodles that I didn't know what to do with. But definately not a lot of flavor other than salt and sooo unhealthy. Tried it once, will finish the leftovers but I won't make this again.

I wasn't sure about this recipe, but it was easy to make and turned out great. The kids really ate it up, and Mom (that's me) really liked it, too. I changed a couple of things: used ground bison instead of ground beef, and used 2 packages of noodles with 1 flavor packet. Add beef or veg broth if you need more liquid.

If I could give this 4.5, I would. It gets a high rating for the ease, inexpensiveness & the fact that most things can be found in our pantry. It will go into an infrequent rotation at our house, something different from the usual "goulash." (Infrequent because ramen noodles are not the healthiest choice of noodle for us - maybe they will come out with a low fat, low sodium, whole grain ramen noodle!)
