Very good. I tricked my kids and told them I colored the smoothie green, which them being boys.....they loved. Who would have thunk spinach could work in a smoothie? I did add some flax seed and a handful of strawberries that I had to use or lose. We all loved this one.

My two girls (8 and 6 years old) LOVED this! I did substitute the Banana for Kiwi because my banana's were still green though! But still it was really good!!

Fantastic tasting smoothie! I just made it for myself and four year old son who thinks a bright green smoothie is so cool. He wasn't watching me make it though! I peeled the apple and also added a handle if ice for a thicker more frozen like consistency. What a great tasting healthy recipe! Thanks! Next time I may add a tablespoon or so of ground flaxseed. I add that to a lot of the smoothies that I make.

very good. I am not a huge veggie eater so this is perfect. You can make it a thousand different ways. I tried it with choc soy milk instead of yogurt and it was yummy.

This is so good! To make this colder after buying the grapes I wash, dry and freeze them. Also use a frozen banana. I use non fat plain yogurt and if I remember I add half a teaspoon vanilla.

I substituted a pear for the apple and added a little honey for sweetness and a little milk to get the juices flowing.. It turned out better than I had expected, but not my favorite. I think it needs to be sweeter.

This recipe is so yummy and you really can’t taste the spinach. I did add half a cup of organic fat free milk and only 3oz of the yogurt to thin it out. It helped with some of the chewiness. Also if you want it smoother just add milk and forget the yogurt then strain the mixer after blending.

This tasted just like a regular strawberry smoothie. The spinach didn't seem to add any extra flavor. All it did was add a disgusting texture. If someone really wanted to use the recipe, I would get some spinach and really grind it into a paste and then add it.

I followed the recipe except for using a whole apple and omitting the grapes, and it just wasn't good. It wasn't cold enough, and the consistency was like yogurt, which some people might like but didn't appeal to me as a drink. Neither my husband nor I liked the flavor. The one positive thing about it was that we couldn't taste the spinach. However, after tasting it I added apple juice, ice, and orange juice concentrate, and it was much better. I'll probably make it again with those changes... but the original recipe gets two stars at best.

THANK YOU for sharing this recipe! I can finally get veggies into my very anti-vegetable 2-year-old! I started out with this recipe, making it exactly as written. It was great, except that the texture of the spinach wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped. Still, myself, my 2-year-old and my 5-year-old liked it lots! What I've come to find since then (and I've made this recipe lots, in different variations) is that if you steam the spinach for 30-60 seconds, pureed it for 2 minutes and then refrigerate it until cold before using it, it is totally smooth. I just put spinach, a frozen banana, yogurt and some flax seed meal together and the kids LOVE LOVE LOVE it and I feel great knowing they are eating something so healthy and have gotten some greens into them. With my little guy, I just make sure not to put it into a cup that's see-through since I don't know that he'd drink it if he saw the green! THANK YOU again for submitting this recipe. Now when my little guy turns his nose up at the veggie with his dinner, at least I know he's had some veggies in his morning smoothie!

GREAT smoothie! I added about a tablespoon of honey and about a cup of ice. Just had a tonsillectomy, so trying new things and this one was a great variation from the same ole same ole bananas and milk!

I was VERY skeptical about this one but was willing to try since I had an abundance of spinach that I needed to use. Very tasty. Even my kids liked it. They thought it was green from a kiwi until I told them. What a great way to get in your servings of fruit and veggies!

This was great- I told my son I had a "green slimy smoothie" for him and he was sold. I used watermelon (about 4 slices) instead of the apple, tasted and looked great! Also made great popsicles when frozen in a popsicle mold.

Good recipe. If you're concerned about food safety/contamination and are serving it to young children you might want to blanch the spinach first.

I suppouse this is a good way to get someone to eat their greens. I thought it was pretty good and creative. But not a 5-star smoothie.

Wow! I had no idea you could put a vegetable in a smoothie without dramatically changing the taste. If it wasn't green, you wouldn't know it had spinach in it. I used plain yogurt to reduce the sugar. Lots of possibilities here, with different fruit variations.

I made this for my girls for breakfast. I substituted pineapple for the grapes and frozen spinach and they loved it. Great way to sneak in some greens! I've also been known to throw some sliced beets in their smoothies with some strawberries and other fruit. Makes a great funky color.

This smoothie was impeccable! a delicious glass of health. Was too sweet for me the first time, but perfect when plain yogurt was substituted for vanilla. also, tried adding extra spinach in another take, but the recipe proportions were already perfect as stated. thanks!
