I'm making my 3 year old's birthday cake this year, and using this frosting. I did a test run last weekend, final product tomorrow. I think this tastes great, but was a little gritty. Maybe I will cut down the sugar by 1/4 to 1/2 a cup. Also, it broke down a little when I added food coloring, and am not sure how it will pipe, as I made it a bit too thin. It still had the heavy frosting texture, but was not thick enough for piping I don't think. I'll post more after I finish the cake and frosting over the weekend. Good tasting frosting, though. Simple to make!
