I would like to be able to claim this but I got it from a good friend, I added the sherry. Vidalia Onions cooked on the grill, sealed in foil! Just like French onion soup, without the bother! Great anytime, and very easy to make. This can be made in the oven, 350 degrees for one hour. Serve with warm, crusty, bread and a sturdy red wine!

Whole onions are stuffed with a chicken bouillon cube and a bit of butter, wrapped in foil and grilled to perfection. A sprinkle of cumin or garlic would add a nice touch.

A layered dish of onions, bread crumbs and a velvety Monterey Jack cheese sauce. Given to me by my friend, Giovanna, this recipe has become a staple in our house. It's great alone for a snack, or as a side dish.

The wedges of a sweet onion are pulled back slightly so that it resembles a flower. The onion is filled with butter, then grilled until soft, sweet and lightly browned.

These are absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! You can make them on the grill or in the oven. Even friends of ours that don't care for onions loved these! I would recommend that you use 1 large onion for every 2 people. Some people want one whole onion to themselves so you might want to make some extra! They are also good heated up the next day but we rarely have any extra!

These onions are sweet and tart. They are terrific as a condiment for a piece of grilled chicken or on top of your best burger.

Terrific! Four large onions, a pat of butter for each, and a shake of salt and pepper. That 's it, except for the square of foil that wraps them into a packet for the grill. Easy and delicious.
