Grilled Salmon I Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 3)

I thought it was pretty good, but a little salty, and I really didn't even use that much salt to begin with because I knew the soy sauce would be pretty salty on its own. I did add a few good squirts of lemon juice to the marinade since I didn't have any lemon pepper (along with seasoning the fillets with pepper). I also used grape seed oil instead of vegetable, and cooked on the stove top instead of a grill. Just a side note, I was making asparagus to go with this and decided to add some of the marinade to the asparagus after sauteing in butter and omg it came out so good!!

I made this recipe with some small changes. Instead of using garlic powder I added one tsp. minced garlic in the marinade. This is a great idea for someone who prefers fresh garlic to the powdered. I used regular pepper on the salmon and to get the lemon taste I added one tbs. of lemon juice to the marinade.

I would give it even more stars if I could. My kids thought it was as good if not better than the Hibachi restaurants. I made it exactly like the recipe.

Yum! Yum!! I followed the recipe and it turned out perfectly even though I only marinaded for approximately 30 minutes. I barbecued on the grill for approximately 6 to 7 minutes on one side, and carefully flipped it to get the beautiful grill marks. My husband raved that it was the best salmon ever!

Made this for tonights dinner and it was so good, my husband and I fought over the last piece. There is nothing that I would change in this recipe but I did take the advice from a review and made a gravy with the leftover marinade and so glad I did. AMAZING!

We eat a ton of Salmon throughout the winter season and I always use this marinade. I do substitute a few of the spices and omit the salt based on personal preference but I must also say the original spices are yummy as is. If interested, my alterations are as follows: 1-1/2 lb. of salmon skin removed, Old Bay Seasoning to taste, dash or two of Cumin, Garlic Powder to taste, 1/3 cup Soy Sauce, 1/3 cup Brown Sugar, 1/3 cup Water, 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I make two separate batches of the marinade; one for marinating the fish and the other for basting the fish as I cook it on the grill. Fish Tip: If you have picky eaters who don’t care for strong flavored fish I suggest the following: Soak the fish in Milk for one hour in a zip-lock bag, drain off milk, rinse and marinate as specified. Thank you for this scrumptious marinade!!
